In reply to Post #21 100% agree - the pale orange ones. I used to drizzle mine with original RH Nouvelle Fizz and they caught me rakes of fish

In reply to Post #20 Solars quench was fruity, tutti kind of smell. The other round about the same time was Mainlines essential opal. Again a fruity type smell. Jason baits have definitely got that Mulberry, almond cherry type smell to them with a bit of a fruity back note. If you listen to his interview he done with Joe Morgan on his Carpangle channel, highly recommended by the way he mentions his pops up.are made up of 4 separate ingrediants and flavours.

In reply to Post #21 I remember the Mistral Rosehip smelling and tasting of soap!

In reply to Post #20 Nah, the Mistral Rosehip were very different imo. Those Rosehip pop ups from the early days were absolutely brilliant.

In reply to Post #4 There was definitely a bait in the 90s that smelt very similar. I don't mean hookbaits, just normal bait. Back then I really only had access to nash, solar and richworth baits. Did any of them make a bait that smelt similar maybe solars quench (cant remember what it smelt like to be honest)? Did they do a mulberry? It's been doing my head in for ages now.
I have vague memories of smelling mistrals rosehip boilies as a kid which was a fruity type bait, maybe it was that

In reply to Post #16 Has anyone used Jason’s liquid attractor along with his pop ups ? If so have you found it best to add a few drops to the pot , give it a shake and top up over time , thanks ?

In reply to Post #6 What were they like after a week mate? I'm looking for a bait that will last for extended time in the water 48 hrs +, you think these would fall into that category?

In reply to Post #11 I also smell a lot of mulberry with some spicy undetones. Very nice baits indeed

In reply to Post #12 its the other way round i have some white and pink ones it is very hard to tell the difference between them unused

In reply to Post #9 I thought it was the other way round? Start out, Pink, Yellow etc and slowly turn a light Brown colour, am i wrong then?

I smell a lot of mulberry in them, maybe a touch of the later autumn harvest ,fizz, to me not the original fizz or harvest.
|
|
|
In reply to Post #6 Agree, there is defo a bit of autumn harvest/nouvelle fizz about them.
And I agree they're great hook baits too.

In reply to Post #8 Within a couple of minutes the dull coating is off and the colour exposed....they aren't bright, in your face colours though for a change, nice and subtle.

In reply to Post #6 These are the baits that change colour in the water, how quick does it happen?
|
|

In reply to Post #6 great info many thanks

They are MEGA bouyant pop ups, they are hard and take a lot of pinning down, big lump of putty required on a Ronnie or Naked Chod. Wafters waft really well then go over after about 24 hours, (did a tank test) pop up was still floating after a week.
Owing to the pop-ups hardness don't pierce them with a baiting needle as a chunk will chip off. Bait screws are best IMO, tying is OK but you have a very thin skin on them so make sure the floss is super tight.
They are strong smelling, quite an acidic smell, bit of a nouvelle fizz thing about them. I've done OK on them, expecting them to really come into their own as the water temps cool...

In reply to Post #4 Cheers mate!

In reply to Post #1 Done well on the orange ones that are sold in the shops

Question, are the ones being distributed by Jag the same as the ones he sells directly through his website and if so which?
On his website he has two flavours and two colours and the jag ones seem all the same flavour but more colours.
Lastly anyone using them to any degree of success? What are they like in terms of buoyancy and toughness?
