How did you find the reel seat position, I was thinking about having them moved up a bit.

Picked up some 3lbers after a good chat with Garry. I got the black edition and I must say what a lovely rod for the money. A custom feel with very minimal appearance. From having a quick play the action was exactly what I’m after.

Cheers mate, I think the 2.75 is now rated at 3lb tc. Do they have a through action?

I’ve got a set of the original CFX in 2 3/4 and 2 of the spod/marker rods, I have only used them twice and had fish to 29lb on them, great rods and a joy to play fish on. I’ve moved on to a bigger water so now I’m back on my 12 footers as I don’t think that the CFX would be any good on large venues.

Also have a look at the Gardner 10ft gtc, 3.25lb tc too. A longer handle than the cfx and the blank is superb.

they are very good rods for the money, I can say that ive enjoyed using mine a lot, they are quite stiff though which is why i liked them, a lot of the shorter rods around when i bought mine were very whippy in action and i wanted a beefier 10 footer i bought mine in a 3.25 TC. Perhaps some of the lower test curves would suit braid better, but ive not fished with braid on my 10 footers so dunno whether the eyes will wear or whatever, try ringing Rackle Box as said before.
They work for me and im very pleased with them , might even buy some of the 12 footers next time i need some.

I was discussing a set of customs last year and they said the next batch will have longer handles... Might be worth checking if they have those in now.

Nice rods, slightly heavy but not too bad in 10ft...

Just bare in mind if you do decide to get them the rod handle length is short on them
So it will feel weird using them at first due to the scope rods have longer handles but you can have them custom built with a longer handles . I have the CFX black 10ft 3 3/4 spod rod and find it great very happy with it . The normal 10ft fishing rods get good feedback aswell

I’m about to order a set of 10ft 3lb, had a long conversation with Gary Peat who designed the rods and they sound spot on. Message the Tackle Box on Facebook and ask them if they could they could get Gary to give you a call back and you can talk through what you want from the rods. When you message the ask for Gary Peat as there are two Gary’s working there.

Looking for some feedback on the CFX 10fters by tackle box. By scopes have bitten the dust now the braids groved the eyes so looking for a replacement.

Interested in the 3lb and 3.25. Most of my fishing is in the edge up to 80 yards with braid so after a forgiving rod
