I like to keep it simple

for 95% of my fishing............

Bottom baits/Snowman/Wafters all on on a size 4 longshank tied slip D style on semi-stiff coated braid, with a small shrink tube kicker. I use a micro ring swivel to mount the bait with floss so any bait size or multiplpe baits does not require any different rigs tying.

Pop ups - I always have chod sections tied up so these can be fished as stiff hinge rigs or choddies, depending on the fishing situation. I just need to add a boom if necessary.

That's pretty much it - the other 5% would be solid bags, and very occasionally I'll use IQ D rig for a wafter, or a maggot rig I like in the winter.

To be honest, a vast amount of my fishing is done with a line aligned knotless knotted hook tied on a coated braid. The hooks I use are Gardner Muggas and Solar 101's.

It still works, despite all the fashion changes from Ronnie to German etc.

For snowman baits I tie a uni-knot loop on the end of the braid, then attach the hook, leaving the hair long enough for my bait(s).
The uni knot holds the pop-up, and obviously the bottom bait goes on the hair first.

For double bottom baits I create a normal overhand loop at the end of the braid instead of the Uni-knot. If you don't mind piercing your pop-ups with a baiting needle you can use this method for double bottom baits or for snowman baits.

For pop-ups I still mostly use a D-rig presentation, usually tied on Spiderwire Fluorocarbon, and a short rig section tied to a longer Amnesia boom.

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question for everyone out there.

What would be you got two three rigs for Pop ups, Bottom Baits, Wafters. Ive found myself just making rigs up that i dont really use and have much confidence in as i tend to swap and chage to much Ronnie, 360, German, Blow Back, Turbo german, Multi Rig ect.

So im wondering what peoples general go to rigs would be as i want to try and narrow down my rig boards to 3 Rigs obviously there will still be space for Chods, Zigs, Floaters ect.
