In reply to Post #23 I think the bodies are pretty much the same but the spool sizes are very different. The xsbs come with 6000 and 10000. They go to 14's on the black mags i think

In reply to Post #22 I've decided to take my mates XSB's as a swap for my 12000 XTA's. Beautiful looking reels but staggered at how small the mags are.
Gutted really but they are as new, nowhere near the build quality though. Are all the mags the same size as the XSB's?

In reply to Post #18 Let me know if you decide to let them go...

In reply to Post #18 Seen them go from 950 to a 1000 for a mint set wish i kept mine

In reply to Post #17 Still not sure, the XTA's are unmarked and boxed up. What would these fetch today?

In reply to Post #1 Dont do it!!!

In reply to Post #11 XSC for me, nice and shiny to match me stainless look alps.... too blingy for most though, had them on my FMJs years ago.
Yes had line issues with the mags but that's normally me putting too much line on especially with the thick mono we use.
These high end shimis are a thing of beauty as far as im concerned, slow oscillation, mega cranking power and perfect line lay, well impressed

In reply to Post #14 Yes spares are available for the XSB’s

In reply to Post #8 Thanks gents, seems both reels have a bit of a following still, here's a question, can you still get parts for the XSB's or are they discontinued now like the older techniums?
|
|

In reply to Post #12 My mate has the xsc and loves them must admit they are a nice reel

In reply to Post #11 I ended up buying the 12000xtc and always wished I had got the xsc.I have not seen any come up forsale for a long time

In reply to Post #10 The older XSC is much more user friendly , I’ve had a set I sold to a mate as I just had collected too many reels , the older XSC is probably the best of the best in my opinion of all the Techniums

In reply to Post #9 Nothing wrong with the power aero's,just always liked the 10000 xsb mgs.I liked the aero technium 10000 xsc I think it was, silver body with a black spool

In reply to Post #7 Braders , no offence but line WILL go behind the spool on these at every little opportunity , unless you are very careful with them ,they have no line guard whatsoever , you’ve been warned 😂 what’s wrong with the Power Aeros ?

|
In reply to Post #1 I’ve had both , 2 totally different reels , I kept my Mgs XSB’s and just recently got rid of my XT techniums , as parts for these are hard to get now but I love them both and wish I’d kept the XTs in a way

In reply to Post #1 If you don't have them and your mate wants to sell,I would be interested

In reply to Post #1 "Always wanted a set of XSB's" I think you've answered your own question really.

In reply to Post #1 can't see the point of having either if you don't use them....?
(that sounds more blunt than I mean it too - hopefully you get my point)
If you're not using yours and your mate will get some use out of them then I'd go ahead and swap. it's a shame to have good kit just taking up shed space.
alternatively get them on eBay and treat the mrs with the money. brownie points are always useful

In reply to Post #1 Yes, you got too much money.

A mate of mine has a mint set of 3 10000 XSB mags, and wants to swap them for my 4 x mint set of 12000 XTA's which are basically the 10000 XTs with the bait runner spool.
Had those for a good ten years but they don't see much use at all, my day to day I use a set of Basiairs, so again not sure that the XSB's would see much use either.
Always wanted a set of XSB's so really not sure what to do.
Any thoughts chaps?
