In reply to Post #13 It certainly looks that way to me.

In reply to Post #23 Again only any good if precut nozzles work for your mix. I've always found the ore cut ones to be just off what I need as mixes all swell to a certain extent once rolled into sausages

Will have to keep my eye out for them

In reply to Post #21 I used to have a witches hat nozzle cut back enough to allow one of the green gardner nozzles to slot it.
This then allowed me to swap between different gardner nozzles as i needed, perfect.

In reply to Post #19 Johnson Ross have Gardner spares.

In reply to Post #18 All well and good if the nozzles work for your mix, the cut to size ones are a better idea imo

|

In reply to Post #18 this is good to know as cutting the nozzles can be hit and miss if your not careful

In reply to Post #18 Can't seem to find them in stock anywhere

In reply to Post #17 I have one of those and they are exactly the same as the Gardner deluxe sausage gun...
I then bought the Gardner deluxe nozzle holder and Gardner nozzles, worked a treat...
Pity i dont have the time to roll anymore

In reply to Post #16 Cheers mate will pick both up at some point. Just starting out rolling it's just deciding on what mix to use!

In reply to Post #15 yes they are come in packs of 5

In reply to Post #14 Are the nozzles from Screwfix aswell

In reply to Post #12 this the one
https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-foil-cartridge-applicator-gun/808fg
i have used this on a softish fishmeal and was fine.
the nozzles come in packs of 4 and easy to trim

In reply to Post #9 Not sure but read it was the same as the Gardner deluxe gun. Worth having a look at the 5mix nozzle adaptor

In reply to Post #1 Screwfix do a very good heavy duty caulking gun for £14.99, It can been seen in use on YouTube by a few home boilie makers, I think it's Bespoke baits "Boilie guns Explained and reviewed"

In reply to Post #9 Yes, in my experience it's trial and error. Different mixes tend to expand differently when extruded, so start too small, trim and test.

In reply to Post #1 Blew my roughneck mortar gun up with my mix , now use a makita electric caulking gun.. my arms have never been happier with me!

Just came across this thread as I’m after a sausage gun, people that use the tool station one, what nozzles do you use with them and where do you get them? Also do you just keep trimming them down till you get the right size sausage? Thanks

For anyone looking at making their own bait without going down the electric or air powered gun route this gun is so much better than the standard gardner gun and only £26 Thanks once again guys.

In reply to Post #2 If your struggling with a stiffer mix, a company called 5mix do a 3 way nozzle adaptor which allows you to pump 3 sausages out at the same time making it easier for stiffer mixes and of course a hell of a lot faster.

Thanks guys, just what I wanted to hear I'll get one ordered up.

In reply to Post #1 Yep so much better than “standard” guns. A good buy. 👍

I am sure this is the one I used a few years back. Very similar to the Gardner gun that was 44 quid several years ago. I found it ok to use but only going 12 egg mixes at a time.

Literally took delivery of one this morning mate. Ain’t got to use it just yet bit it seems up for the task and built very well

In reply to Post #1 I do and it does make a hell of a difference depending on the mix. A stiff mix is still a massive pain to extrude, but nowhere near as painful as the standard gun.

Has anyone used the Roughneck Ultimate Mortar Gun from toolstation for a sausage gun? I'm currently using the standard Gardner one. Will I gain any advantage using one of these over the standard Gardner one? Link below. Thanks.
