34lb 12oz, 35lb, 37lb, 38lb, 39lb, 39lb.
10 x 20lb+ at 20lb, 20lb, 20lb 2oz, 23lb,24lb, 24lb 4oz, 24lb 8oz, 27lb, 28, 28lb 8oz
0lb to 19lb x 7 at 2lb, 4lb, 8lb, 10lb, 12lb, 18lb 8oz, 19lb

Thought I would post this sent to us on Facebook

Just got back from a brilliant weeks fishing on B1.... wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff for their help, advice and banter, made for a very fun and productive trip.
Fishing started a little tough with the unusually early warm spell throwing the carp into spawning!!!
Very early!!! This did however allow the cats to get in the action and boy don’t they go. Gary had two 100lbers in the space of 6 hrs, the biggest being 105. We followed this up with an 87, 2 x mid 60s and then topped by myself with a beast of 110lb.
Second half of week then proved much better for the carp with 3 x 40 lb fish biggest 44, 38 common and plenty of mid upper 20s to keep us busy.
Bounty is a top top venue with ample facilities, quality food and a great mixed bag of quality fish. Cannot recommend the venue highly enough.
A final note to Bob. I never liked ya 😉 thanks for the laughs and we did get that KFC in the end. Top man have a great summer, all the best from the brummies Phil and Gary

We only went for a few days had a few and a few small cats, mate had a couple of low 30s and more than me, I was behind the island he was to the side and the fish got down his margin a fair bit.

Water level can be lower at that time of year if there hasn't been much rain. It doesn't affect the fishing at all though - nothing to be worried about.

in September I was in Willows 2 and between the island and bank it was about 2.5 - 3 foot deep, about a foot down in water than what the lake can take - about 2 foot directly in front of the swim - I jumped in a few times LOL

Also - how deep is it in the margins immediately in front of the swim ?
Thanks in advance

This is me standing in the barn bank swim.Im 6ft so I’d say it’s 4.5 to 5ft.
I went a couple of weeks ago and it’s had a few inches more on it due to lots of rain.

I can safely say without fear of being told otherwise it is about waist deep just in front of you, I know this because I was a but drunk and fell in,luckily for me it was only shallow too, but from memory there is a fully about 19 wraps out to aim for

Can anyone give me some idea of depths of water in front of barns bank pegs 123 on B1... is it uniform across the whole width of the lake. Or is there any deeper areas? I have a deeper so will do my homework when I get there, but on the count down now, just five weeks to go , so trying to get as much info as poss.
Cheers

Hi
Thanks for your booking.
Best advice is to go 50/50 on the boilies, to see what one is working.

As Bryan said, there aren't really areas for the cats , if they are feeding you will pick them up - you can sometimes see them disturbing fry which gives you a bit of an idea. From barn bank casting to your right parallel with the bank there is an overhanging tree in the corner is always a good spot but you'll need to be locked up and right on your rods as they will take you straight into the tree roots. You'll get them on your carp gear anyway - landing them is a different matter Tash is the resident cat expert, she will let you know where they have been coming from.

Fishing B1 end of April, can anyone give me any idea where the cats come out off the barns bank. Is there any known holding areas. I will be fishing for the carp initially but would like to put a rod out for cats at some point. Any pointers gratefully received. Thanks in advance
