Those digital booths are useless

Done this in Spain over the weekend. Process to register/ get in was a bit of a faff but no dramas:
1. Queue up to complete digital form and provide finger prints and photo
2. Queue up to go through digital barrier using passport
3. Queue up to get a stamp from one person in the usual passport control booth.
The way out was much better...
1. Digital barriers were broken so we all walked straight through them to get a stamp from the person in the booth
Does anyone know if that means I'm sorted for travel all over Europe now?

In reply to Post #18 Me at the end of April , but Newhaven is a step back in time which I find great , but will have to update their squeaky wire gates to accommodate this system

In reply to Post #15 Newhaven is the back door of England Nick..! I expect Dieppe will have it, they didn't in November but I'm sure over the winter they will.
No major delays flying with the new system for me so far..

In reply to Post #14 That's correct, 10th April (see post 8), will be interested to know how you get on

I wonder if Newhaven will have it. Travelling in April but that place is like going back in time to the 1950s with their two little wooden border force sheds

I don't believe this kicks in for the euro tunnel until April this year
Off to France late April so will let you all know how we get on

In reply to Post #12 It is a 1 off, lasts 3 years apparently.
Enjoy your trip, sounds like a very efficient EES there
