Yes pal, goes everywhere with me. On the Shuttle just sits in the van with me.
No bother once i sorted out the paperwork and vets farce!
France is brilliant for dogs, the French love them. My last trip i did a weeks sightseeing and a week fishing. Took him in all the food places and some nice restaurants with me, no bother at all. The best bit, the only place i got the knock back was in ****ty MacDonalds in Chamonix and a couple of service stations where i went and purposely didn't buy anything after.

Le shuttle will be chaos i think when this starts. I went through a couple weeks ago and they were pushing cars to drive through the kiosk structure. It was tailed back all the way back up the entrance road. This is without vehicles even using the kiosks, just crawling through.
Anything other than a quiet period won't be fun I suspect

Entry/Exit System (EES)
Summer 2026 update: There will be no EES biometric capture at LeShuttle terminals in Folkestone or Calais during the summer holiday period. Customers can continue to travel through our terminals as normal.
What is the Entry/Exit System (EES)?
The Entry/Exit System (EES) is a new EU regulation that records the biometric data (fingerprints and facial image) along with border crossing details of non-EU nationals entering or leaving the Schengen Area.
When does it start?
The Entry/Exit System (EES) is overseen directly at the border by PAF (Police aux Frontières – the French border police) and is being introduced in phases, starting from 12th October. At LeShuttle, we are fully prepared for the implementation of EES. All the required infrastructure, our systems, our kiosks, as well as staffing on our side, are in place and ready to operate as soon as we receive the go ahead from the French authorities. We are currently awaiting confirmation from the French authorities of the date for the technical availability of their central system before this can be fully launched.
Who does it apply to?
Non-EU nationals, including British nationals travelling on short stays (up to 90 days within a 180 day period). EES has no impact on other travellers (details can be found here).
How will it work?
When arriving at an EU border, applicable travellers will have their fingerprints and facial image scanned, in addition to the usual passport checks.

Didn't think the EES had been implemented at the Shuttle.

I was delayed for 3 hours going out going to the island lake south of Paris so ended up being very late.
Two days later I got in touch with le shuttle and in the end I got the outward journey refunded and a free trip the following year 😀😛👍
But I then realised when I booked the train a couple
Of weeks before I paid for a day return and not 7 days later as it was too late I had to pay about £170 for the return journey

I have seen there been a few delays on the web site fingers crossed they are all back to normal next week

Best of luck mate...on the way out everything went fine, got onto a train 30mins early.
On the way home I made good time and got to Le Shuttle about 5pm, check in was 8pm and train 9pm.
Told the lady I was more than happy to be put on an earlier train "to get me out of the way" and she said "3 trains"...so I figured maybe 1.5hrs earlier.
Got around the corner and there were vans everywhere with lots of carpers laying out in the sun on their bedchairs.
Went into the terminal to see what time "N3" was departing only to find that I wouldn't get on until 11:30pm (3 trains late, not early!)
Hopefully that was a one off...but it's a pain once you're inside the terminal, if I had known about the delays I would have gone to the supermarkets next door or found a restaurant etc etc
Instead I was confined to the terminal.
