Poor Lad, seemed like a genuinely friendly person. Does anyone know what happened? Very young too.

I wasn’t sure which one Jim Wilson was but thought it might be the young lad so had to check.
RIP and condolences to his family and friends
Always came across as a thoroughly nice guy.

I wholeheartedly echo all the lovely comments I've seen regarding Jim, a really genuinely lovely chap whom would always stop and have a chat with me on the woolpack even though he didn't know me at all, rest in peace Jim and my sincerest condolences to his family and all who knew him.

Very sad news...

RIP Jim

From Fox:

R.I.P. Jim Wilson
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we must share this tragic news with our online community. Yesterday, our much-loved angling consultant and friend, Jim Wilson, tragically and very unexpectedly passed away.
Jim was first and foremost a thoroughly nice person, one of life's good guys, but beyond that he was also a highly talented and passionate carp angler with a photo album that most big carp anglers would give their right arm for.
He was extremely versatile turning his hand to many different styles of carp fishing, from large lakes with rowing boats, to tiny intimate pools, nothing ever phased him. Jim genuinely loved the challenge of tackling a venue and trying to outwit his target fish (something he rarely failed at).
He had a huge passion for being outdoors and enjoying 'just being there', he was always welcoming to any visitor that popped by his swim and the kettle was always on. He was a very caring person and would often drop his friends text messages to see how they were. As much as he loved his own fishing campaigns, he also loved to share in his friend’s angling journeys and success just as much.
At Fox we have had the pleasure to work with Jim for many years, we have shot numerous films and have so many great memories of our time spent with him. He will be sorely missed by the whole team here, he has been taken far too soon.
For those of you that knew Jim or have enjoyed following his fishing over the years, we have put together a playlist on YouTube featuring all of the videos that we made with him, so at any time if you want a reminder about what a true gent he was and what a great angler he was, you can have some Jim time. ❤️
