No problem mate. Let me know how you get on.

Making tackle takes me back to the 80’s.

Yes loop the amnesia round the left hand post and back. Pinch with finger and thumb, keep in tight.

Use wing nut on spool to also ensure tightness.

Hook with hair / 6 inches braid semi secured on right hand thread of bolt / post.

Braid comes from right to left, down into amnesia loop, then start wiping 8 turns from left to right ie back towards the hook. End of braid dropped back down through amnesia loop.

Slowly pull the almost tight, then remove rig up from left hand post.

Keep hook in place on right hand post, pull tight to check the knot, keep it tight and trim back waste ends of braid and amnesia.

Takes a bit of practice then becomes very easy and gives consistent results.

When making this the left hand post / bolt needs some tape around it so
When the rig is tied it will slide up and off easily.

If you tie the hook end using a multi rig loop then you can keep reusing the boom and braid, and change the hooks as needed.

Very clever. And thanks for your efforts guys! Well done.

Do you keep the tension on the loop of Amnesia with your hand?

Sounds interesting don’t suppose you have a pic of it. I jigged my hooklinks a while ago just to get accuracy

Never had an Albright knot go on me.

Very easy to tie as well. I use 20 lb amnesia with atomic jelly wire u coated.

I made a device which involves the spool of amnesia being clamped down so it’s tight to the rig. Then a couple of bolts, one to hold the hook and one to aid the tying. It works very well.

Could not do this not without this gadget.

Thanks for your reply, but I don't like the idea of split rings. Sorry!
