In reply to Post #2973 And yet he holds 3 of the 4 belts
And Dubious was SO close, are you going to say that he would be a great if he won too lol. Usyk ain’t put them together. The same collection Joshua put together before he was exposed again and again and again. Like it or not the belt was the WBC who nobody would challenge for whilst Joshua was doing the sweepings up. Wilder would absolutely well and truly obliterate him, the man ain’t no defence!
And then a man who is mentally I’ll, 10 stone overweight with a drugs and alcohol problem as a result, does major draining weight loss and comes along and beats the WBC dosser 3 times, now that is something that NO former heavyweight champ has ever done and probably will not again, that alone is pretty, unbelievable, ****ing amazing!!!
I think Wilder is the most dangerous fight for Usyk, and he won’t take it
Wilder is a nasty MF, but as somebody once said, you don’t go in there to tickle each other lol

In reply to Post #2972 But you said he wasn't a true heavyweight champion ? And yet he holds 3 of the 4 belts? And yet old windmill isn't a champion anymore either? Granted he can't be called a heavyweight great and at his age it's doubtful he has got enough time left to ever be called one. Even if he beats fury and wilder . Don't think he's got much chance against fury Tbh, but wilder I'm not so sure. That one could go either way for me.
In reality, who has wilder fought? He's got a massively padded résumé himself , other than fury he's got nobody. And the man is an utter tool. Saying he won't retire happy if he doesn't have a body on his record. He can't box for toffee either, all he has is that power, hence he came up short against someone with actual skills ,even though he made every excuse under the sun he simply wasn't the better fighter . Not even close

In reply to Post #2971 Great boxer USYK no doubt, athlete. not a true heavyweight and who has he fought at heavy so far, a well over the hill Chisora, Joshua who can’t box for toffee, body builder, and he lost or should have against Dubios so that makes him a great does it, wins over those 3 lol, come back when he has clocked up over 20 then we can talk about greatness
And all of those 3 are not even close to Fury or even Wilder.
I don’t dislike Joshua, great role model, but I knew from the start he was not the one that everybody was making him out to be, his fights were cherry picked over the years, he is a very powerful lad but lacks boxing skills, and movement, massively
And as for Holyfield he was a proper boxer, athlete, and warrior and you can’t compare USYK with him, he has been in wars, look at the fights he had!

In reply to Post #2970 How is usyk not a heavyweight champion in your eyes Chris? Because he took the belts from aj who you have a clear dislike of? Or because he's an ex cruiserweight? (Just like haye/holyfield before him)

In reply to Post #2967 Take him out of the equation and it only leaves Wilder as a true heavyweight champion for me. Far too much politics in boxing, the belts should dictate who fights who next.
and that dikhead father of his is a disgrace an embarrassment
Made me laugh, he was offering Mike Tyson out, let’s have a straightener lol. I am quite confident in saying that MT (who truly is one of the greatest of all time) could put him out in 3 if he wanted to and that’s if he didn’t catch him right with the first two

In reply to Post #2967 He's signed to fight usyk next so not sure why everyone has the arse about that now?

Right from day one when everyone was slagging Tyson Fury off
I could see he was trying to sell himself and could see he had a boxing brain and became a BIG fan
he can box either hand and switch seamlessly very gifted boxer
but recently I have gone right off him its not about the sport its simply greed and money he could easily have made the usk fight but was just to greedy
and that dikhead father of his is a disgrace an embarrassment
no I hope he gets knocked the fook out unlikely but it could happen

In reply to Post #2966 Can’t knock him for what has gone before but to then take the proverbial out of such a great sport I find galling in all honesty. Should be about becoming undisputed and been one of the best in your era. To then fight someone that’s never boxed before solely for the money (he’s made as it is) really does take the 9155 out of the sport and out of himself really. Not for me.

In reply to Post #2965 I don't think you can put Tyson in the same category as his brother. Tyson is the heavyweight champion of the world, twice now. He earned those belts. He's gone to the reigning champions back yard and taken them from them both times, he's gone into the ring with the biggest knock out artist the division has ever seen and beaten him multiple times. . His brother is all show and no go, he's not good enough to win belts at even European level so is taking the money option. This is just a warm up for usyk, nothing more than that. But one he is being paid an awfully large sum of money for, and it's his job after all. If anyone was offered a huge sum of money to do their usual job, but made a lot easier ,they'd take it.

In reply to Post #2963 Much better to see Fury sparked out in a sport that he and his family are taking the 9155 out of.

In reply to Post #2961 Another strange one, the man seriously is mental
Why he would want to fight FN is beyond me, great payout but that man can seriously bang, still Fury is slick enough, says he is going to go toe to toe with him lol, I believe him, and that is dangerous

In reply to Post #2961 Definitely not. Would ruin the fury usyk fight, and that's the one surely everyone wants to see?

Well, the main concern for me is where JC goes next, who are the fights. I wish he would be another British world champion but he has some learning to do for me as he steps up. last night he will have learned a lot though. Thought Linares was very good with the footwork, also managed to get his left outside JC right foot for most of the night which in turn, JC struggled to land any really powerful shots, swinging across his body, very wide stance too which didn’t help either. Good news he got the decision but I wouldn’t say it was as convincing as I would have like to have seen, he needs to get some fights in, but hey ho, up JC
