In reply to Post #3060 Garcia done good.
I read today that he was being a dick for months before the fight on social media, acting drunk/high etc -- and the bookies lowered the odds on him winning.
Then he bet $2 million on himself for a win, and took home $12 million, plus the fight money.
If that's true, cherrrrr-frickin-ching! $$$$$

In reply to Post #3055 Parker not big enough for the big boys.

In reply to Post #3053 he boxes in straight lines and barely moves his head
You missed “still” out of that
I am not sure what Ben Davidson has brought other than some over confidence and sit behind the jab.. As Gerry said, might have been to the hypnotist lol. A quality boxer with some good movement will box his head off. The only advantage Joshua has, he has a good reach and carriers serious power
I would put my money on Wilder because AJ cannot box like Fury or move like Parker did last night. Static, perfect for the bomb 💣
Wilder couldn’t set his feet last night, always on the back foot, to be fair when you see him drop the bomb his legs must be 6 foot wide, incoming missile lol, couldn’t get into those positions last bight, JP was magnificent

In reply to Post #3053 Yeah it has traction for sure, both can bang, both can be hurt, the question is does wilder want to continue ? His record has taken a bit of a knock over his last 5 fights and he may not want to risk it further. He's 38 now, doesn't need any more money and realistically isn't going to get anywhere near a title again for at least a couple of years with the potential 2 fury v usyk fights, then mandatory challenger's after that. And he's got to keep winning and first fury and now parked have shown how to beat him. He may choose the cash out option if the Saudis will still bankroll the AJ fight , and AJ agrees to it. But he's already said if it's a choice of a title or wilder he will go for the title . Certainly a lot of potential for 2024 to be the best heavyweight year for some time

In reply to Post #3050 I still think the AJ Wilder fight still has some traction. Parker has a better boxing IQ and better movement than AJ. Parker boxed superbly and didnt give Wilder the opportunity to throw his right hand never mind land it. I think Wilder was waiting for that static target but it never came. Parkers movement was slick and measured, good footwork and head movementand dangerous with that looping right hand. I dont think AJ has that his locker, he boxes in straight lines and barely moves his head. So I genuinly think Wilder would still fancy himself against AJ, be a much easier target to land the RH. ObvsAJ can bang too so i think tgats why its a good match up. . AJ says he will fight anyone and i believe he would. Parker rematch would be interesting.
That being said in here 2024 has skme real potential, especially with Saudi in the mix and the willingness for multiple tv platforms to work together which is usually what puts the brakes on big fights.

In reply to Post #3051 Yeah I saw him say he'd still be up for it, I can't see wilder wanting it without at least a tune up beforehand now. I'm sure Parker would like the aj rematch, not so sure AJ will go that way. I can see him fighting hrgovic , who yeah got the decision against Zhang but it was a bit of a gift imo. There are a few others getting up there too now, Anderson, bakole,Zhang . Lots of potential for a great 2024 if the fights can be made.

In reply to Post #3050 He is after Wilder he was saying, probably trying to beat the man who beat the men to try and restore his reputation now he thinks Wilder is on decline
He will fancy a fight with Parker I reckon, I hope Parker smokes him tbh.
There has the potential to be a lot of good heavyweight fights next year
As for Hrgović, you can see he is quality and he bet Zhang who most people wouldn’t take a second look at, monster of a man, Joshua better keep clear of Hrgović or he will get his heads boxed off!

In reply to Post #3049 Can't see where he goes from there really, he's looking gun shy and as that's all he really had anyway I can see his team telling him to call it quits. Bivol was decent yeah, although he did look beatable. Not sure anything can be said about hrgovic really given his opponent may as well not even bothered putting his gloves on he was that uninterested in fighting. Aj looked to have a little bit of that spite back, be very interesting to see where he goes next .

In reply to Post #3048 Possibly. Very humble in defeat which was nice to see, and he basically said he was at peace with himself which I though was nice to hear, to be fair, he has nothing to prove, can’t say I was a fan from a purists point of view but there’s no doubt he can bang, and he will go down in boxing legacy with a record like that.
Bivol masterclass, but he did get hurt with that body shot. Wants Callum Smith or BB next, two good fights there, when they meet and he faces the winner
Hrgović Is looking good
Great fight night that
