I was staying in Albuferia Portugal in 87 with some mate's that were flogging time share on the strip that was being developed at the time. We went a club one night and Benn and his mates were in there, off their heads. He was an up and coming contender at the time. I'm not easily intimidated but he was unstable, you could just see it, didn't like him at all, bullying anyone who'd come near him. Loved him as a fighter but not as a man. Suppose that's what makes some fighters.

I purposely didn't watch the Spence fight as I expected it to be a virtual no contest, must have been a belter, split decision. I expected him to walk it

Chris, you missed a classic , one of the best fights i have seen in a long time , tremendous punch in the 11th round to put him down , watch it if you get the chance.

Cracking fight Jeff, I thought Porter was tactically superb, I also thought Spence really struggled 
Can't make my mind up with Spence, great jab and the timing of his left hand (not this fight, couldn't get Porter at range) is one of the best I've seen, can really pick the punches, just seems to do the basics very, very well?
Can he beat Crawford? I don't think so?
Can't help that think Kell Brook would have done him if if hadn't had the GGG beating of his life!
I'm guessing he has learnt a hell f a lot from that fight. Would like to see another, I think Porter boxed the fight of his life
