Think the same, he is not a natural, very limited skills. Poster boy of British boxing and to be fair he is a good figure head for the youth. Just laughing, watched the 7th round again where Ruiz puts it on him, clueless in defence

My current thinking, being caught up in the pre fight build up is, has RMcK changed him, if it’s possible to get the job done? Basic skills for fighting a smaller fighter is the upper cut on the way in, can’t see how he can throw it without been seriously countered

My deep down thoughts are, he doesn’t stand a chance, Ruiz has his number and once you have somebody’s number you could beat them time and time again

One thing for sure if it comes to Joshua sitting on a pile of belts for the next few years fighting bums, I do hope he loses. I would love to see Ruiz fight Wilder, I would fancy Ruiz chances

Fast as he can

I expect short fast hands, can’t see how he can keep Ruiz at bay, the jab didn’t work last time

Can’t wait now

Agree, if AJ doesn’t drop some bombs and win the fight in 3 or 4 he’ll probably lose the boxing match beyond that.

Yep most heavyweights bang , joshua included , he has an awful defence and does,nt recover from a punch ,
Ruiz gets caught easily but can take a punch ! For me joshua has to knock ruiz out to win he wont beat him if he does,nt , yes he is capable of knocking ruiz out , im lucky enough to have seen first hand some of the best heavyweights training for fights , joshua doesnt train like any i have ever seen , too much emphasis on weights , nothing natural about him , I keep going on about pricey because i am close to him , when he lost his first fight he was never the same ,joshua could,nt live with pricey sparring , they had to keep stopping the sessions as joshua was getting caught far too easily , It will be interesting.

And fury could probably turn up still coked up carrying an extra 20 stone and outbox him
It’s what you make of it as a spectator, I enjoy any well matched fight and am not a fan of any one boxer so just admire the hard work and sport.
Having had a crack I know how hard it is to be good, let alone world class... and sadly world class heavyweights are a rarity.
I didn’t have the temperament to get chinned and stay disciplined enough not to get taken to the cleaners

WELL passed his best and one more punch that night would have put Joshua out of there and that would have been embarrassing. He has been rocked too many times for me. Jesus, seriously if he or anybody thinks he stands a chance against Wilder forget it. Wilder would do him some serious damage

As you well know Jeff, the big boys bang hard.. only takes one on the button and it’s good night Vienna.
AJ can draw a crowd and give a good spectacle against the right fighter, he can also get humiliated by the wrong one.
Just amazed he can beat one of the most dominant champions of all time, albeit past his best, and lose to the pilsbury dough boy.

Problem is joshua does,nt have blistering fast hands ! Because joshua does not have an amateur pedigree (he was fast tracked ) know one knows how he will respond to the defeat ! One things for sure he will be crapping himself as he knows ruiz can and has beaten him , losing weight is another factor you lose strength , it really is last chance saloon for joshua as ive said before he will have nowhere to go if he loses.

I guess Ruiz has packed on extra weight/muscle to increase the power of his punches

I guess AJ will have been training to improve his crap defence keeping his hands up and trying to jab away keeping it long moving around so mavbe Ruiz will have trained to attack the body first ?
who knows lol
cant wait though

Weigh in today for the heavyweight clash

Edit. Should be a great night of boxing this, Whyte is up too

I’ve seen enough, I’m gonna make my prediction how the fight is going to pan out lol. Well I though RMcK had to reinvent him and it looks like he has. Lightest ever, tells me he’s going for hand speed and stamina, still to be convinced with the stamina though and you can’t train a glass jaw

He has given away 3 stone to Ruiz who has come into this one even heavier

Ding ding, come out fighting. Joshua blistering fast hands trying to keep Ruiz at bay hoping for an early finish, I wonder if he is more mobile with the weight loss. TBH I’ve said for a long time this is what he is missing, previously too much muscle, a bit of a plodder, in and out, not lateral movement and this is what he will need to beat Ruiz, too easy to hit last time. If he try’s to keep him on the jab he loses, everybody tried to keep iron Mike on the jab lol

Ruiz is Ruiz, bulldozer, mugger. He will be supremely confident for me since he absolutely battered Joshua last time out. This could be his downfall, walking onto a big one is how he loses for me. This time though he has had more time to prepare than the 3 week notice last time!!!

It’s gonna be an interesting one this because if Joshua loses that could be it for me

He has to win. Is he going to, mmmmmmmmm
