Search doesn't seem to be working right at the moment

Was looking for an old post about Solar barrow in tackle section

Searched for Solar it came up with 1 post this year ? There is currently a post at the top in tackle ?

I'm fairly sure, Dec 24 is not this year

Edit - using google search there are multiple results as expected

If your looking for a post as you said, rather than a thread title, next to the search button change the button from 'thread names' to 'messages'. As the post may be within another thread might be worth just searching 'barrow'. That brings up 2 pages of results but more importantly most are different threads.

Worth a try

Edit, those results go as far back as the last forum change/reboot, 2020

No it doesn't agreed, but in my head if I were looking for something I couldn't find I'd of checked a fair few recent pages 1st, before resorting to search. I was just trying to help if it might find the page rather than have to wait for a forum update which could take some time.

Any which way,I agree, search is behaving a bit oddly.

Edit, re recent posts, Andy asked for a 'old post'.

Agreed on the looking first.

To be fair he did say old post is what he was looking for but pointed out the complete lack of results showing for this year. I guess it's easy to see all the actual threads for this year which makes it easy to see there is a search issue which makes it harder to trust the old post searching. I'm just being jokey pointing out these bits, I'm not trying to be arsey lol

Either way, there does seem to be a search issue that we all agree on

Andy, what are you after, lets see if the google attempts can find it?

I've just taken a look at this.
It seems as though you forgot to click TOGGLE CHECKBOXES to tick all the areas of the site to search in.

If I don't turn any on then I get a single result.
If I turn on ALL forums and search Thread names I get 99 results

Hey mate, if you search just tackle for example, there are a whole load of missing results that can be found manually or from google.

Even with all sections ticked, it still only finds 1 thread from 2025

Bugger, you're right mate.

I just manually searched for topic (thread) names containing "tackle" and it found 317.
When I used the site it found 2.

I ran a Full Text rebuild on the server earlier, so something is obviously amiss...or it's never worked!

So I just ran a query to find me topic names containing both solar & barrow and I got these:

Something very odd going on as different words give varied results (excepting the obvious potential different amounts of actual threads)

Chair is on front page of tackle section a few times, 0 results for 2025
Frontier finds about 4 for 2025
Torch finds 6 for 2025
