I bet you are, I watched the game, unlucky the Spammers. Still not convinced about the goal being disallowed, especially with Rice holding on ffs. Should just send them straight off for that, ridiculous

There was wrestling going on all over the place.
The ex referee on MOTD explained it and I agree with him that all this grappling that has become normalised by all teams has to stop

Normalized by all teams? Really? This is exactly what the neutral has been banging on about all season regarding Arsenal. Time after time they've been allowed to get away with it. They have got it down to a fine art. Refs can't do anything because "they've broken no rules," and "the decision is subjective." FFS. But when it goes against them, miraculously the refs can make the call.
I'm not convinced it was a foul. The keeper was on the up and got two hands to the ball and flapped it.
And they say cheats don't prosper......

Yes normalised by all teams.
What teams don't grapple when a corner is taken and what teams are punished for doing it?
I don't like seeing it and at least we can agree that it should stop.
Anyway Raya had an arm around his neck, his left arm being held and and his shirt being pulled. You can argue the Rice incident should've bucked the trend of normalised grappling and should've been a penalty but in my opinion Raya was definitely fouled
Let's hope this incident will get some rules changed or made clearer

The thing that got me was, there was no infringement to the keeper's arms, he didn't stop him from reaching any higher, was at his limit, just came off the keepers finger tips
Grabbing like Rice did is ridiculous, should have been a straight red for me, any team, any player, not a problem

There's 4-5 fouls in that corner alone, but they decided the first foul was Pablo's on Raya
, can't see that at all. Could argue that the goal could have been disallowed and a penalty given.
There's no rule that will make any difference, consistency is all that is required. Something the ref's/VAR struggle with. Darren England though..LFC's favorite ref..
Be interested to see the stats where Arsenal (and all teams) have gained from those situations (at both ends) this season.
But tbh, I feel the officials got it right this time (pains me to say it)

Why would it be a straight red? That only happens if it was a clear goal scoring opportunity and seeing the player didn't have the ball I can't see that being the case.
I concede it could be a penalty but if you give that then there's 100s that should have been given this season.
I do agree that this should be sorted out but it needs some consistancy which is not happening
Raya did have arm restricted and his shirt pulled. They showed it from a different angle on MOTD. It was an angle that the ref was not shown on the screen
You can see it on iplayer at 14:50

It kills the game, getting ridiculous, the only way they will stop is to start sending them off and it needs doing, I don't think anyone has a problem with physical contact, both hands around his waste ffs is just blatant cheating!
