Top of the group, unbeaten whilst playing awful football you have to take that. It's the only positive mind.
Didn't look any better without Trent in the side....

Looked better 2nd half after replacing Gallagher with Mainoo who needs to start next game for me.
Is it just me or is Foden afraid to tackle? He seemed to pull out of every 50-50, Closing down was good but put your foot in lad!
I also agree that I would like to see us start the next game as we finished this one.
Not sure if there's an issue with Trippier but play Walker at left back if you have to, he's offered nothing on the right anyway.

Would probably go Foden over Bellingham and Gordan over Saka tbh.
At least you know that Palmer and Gordon will make runs to take advantage of Trent's passing range and not be afraid to take their fullbacks on. I think Foden is better as a 10 than Bellingham, although neither of them are an out and out 10.

Remember lads, it just an opinion.

I'll go with that. Trent in defence worries me though, although if he steps up and has a few good games we'll be laughing. I'd play Jude before Foden, I'm not convinced we can play both at the same time. Do you or don't you with Saka is the conundrum. It looks like the Dutch next game, he may struggle against the big lads they have as he gets knocked over easily. However it should be like a premier league game so he might work. I'm convinced if we attack it will go well for us, just not sure wether that word features in Southgate's vocabulary though.

I'd play Jude before Foden,
Might not have any choice but to play Bellingham.

Foden 'temporarily' leaves England camp for family reasons

Bloody brilliant. My favourite team of the tournament so far. They will give Spain a good game. And they did us a bit of a favour with Slovakia. 👏👏

You said it mate I had them pegged for beating Portugal, they'd simply out run them and they did, but not only that they played some brilliant football.

As you say a pleasure to watch and when you see that level of 'wanting it/playing for each other/the fans and country' it makes you realise how I think we, as brits watching the premiere league have become used to less than stimulating football and are being conditioned to accepting it as the norm with these millionaire softees. That Georgia team would have given City a run for their money simply by closing them down before they can play the beautiful game, like they do against the teams like Man U that can't be arsed anymore.

Georgia have played at that level since game 1, I wondered if they could keep it up, game after game, near 90 mins full on, but they seem to be able to do nearly just that, come on Georgia, you make watching football exciting again

First time I watched them, they were superb

As you say, I seriously question the England players commitment to the cause, they appear not to really give a ****. Think they are better than they really are. In their clubs they are surrounded but some top quality players, that could be the difference for me

And the really good thing about Georgia is that all the engerland fans don't even need to buy a new flag when they switch allegiances ...
