Agreed, also extends to grim ridgemonkeys and frying pans. By all means use a wet wipe to remove the fat/grease on the bank but first step getting indoors is always cleaning the cooking kit including the mug

A little bit of staining is acceptable but I've seen what you are describing and it's disgusting.
Do your best to wipe your cup when you are on the bank but give it a good clean when you get home, some diluted bleach does wonders.

If like my disgusting coffee stained cup and spoon are left on show by the bivvy,I don't get punished 😉 those who know me I keep social cups and spoons clean in the brew bag..
All my stuff is bought home put in sink with hot water and dishes then washed and put away if the cup is stained I bleach it out and then rinse it out an hour later,also when I'm on the bank I have sanitizer,wipes and clean everything to an acceptable level helps keep vermin away while in the bank.
One thing I don't like about my Titanium cups, they seen to brown off far more quickly than porcelain, I assume the surface is in no way as smooth as a fired glaze.
Cups ? Drink tea from the spout as I, and all other good chimpanzees do.

Genuinely porcelain is very good insulator as it absorbs very little heat and keeps you brew hot. Stainless steel cups and hip flasks taint the flavour of the contents.

In 20 years in the food industry, where stainless steel is the main material used in equipment, i have never herd once of it tainting a product.
And you are 100% correct about the porcelain. On a visit to twinning's tea years ago, during a being shown how a tasting session works they explained pretty much the same and that there were not taints in porcelain and hold a consistent heat.
