Is there an easier way of clearing down seeing what has accumulated to 6000 New Posts?

I like to use the link - "Read the next topic with the most new posts in: [Whole site]".

Because I have so many outstanding new posts I'm getting mostly old posts from all sorts of different date ranges.

Other than clicking several thousand times on the Whole site link is there an easier way of resetting the New Posts count?

I've looked through the help pages, profiles pages, reset the browser and deleted all the site cookies but it hasn't helped, not sure if it is a server side thing?

Hi Mark,
If there's a whole section you are not interested in (e.g. Bait) you can click the tick box to the left of that forum section on the homepage.
Then, use the "Mark Selected Forums as read" button near the bottom of the homepage.

If you want a complete fresh start (i.e. Remove all new message flags) there's a button at the bottom of the homepage called "Mark ALL Forums as read".
This will remove ALL new message flags to bring your new message count down to zero.

In cases where there are LOTS of flags to remove this can take a while and sometimes it times out.
For this scenario it's better to remove them by doing one forum section at a time.

If you want more granular control (e.g. You might not want to clear ALL the threads in "Tackle") you can go into the Tackle section of the Forum.
Then, in a similar fashion to what we done on the homepage, click the threads you are not interested in and use the "Mark SELECTED threads as read" button at the bottom.
