Not bad mate. Ended up with 12 including 3 x 50's, 3 x 40's, 5 x 30's (including a 32 Grassie) and a 27. My 2 mates had 17 between them including another 50 and a Cat of 45.
Nice place would recommend it......long drive though, 7 1/2 hours there (from Calais) and 7 back.

We were out between Poitiers and Limoges last week, (Le Queroy) home on 29th April and they were starting to spawn as we left on the 28th.
With settled weather this week and getting warmer next they should get it over and done with early.

Was around end of June last year. Very late. But looking like ours will do it shortly, especially with temperatures around 25/26 all next week.

Friends of mine went Saturday and are back home already the fish started on Monday night/Tuesday morning, in my experience that's pretty early for the area they're fishing as its Poitier's so about midway down I've known them go at Iktus and Rainbow late late April early May but that's a fair bit further south and usually warmer than mid France at this time of year, the bream started a week or so ago at Rainbow so the carp should be anytime soon.
I'm out the last week of June and that lake usually starts around the 3rd week of May, its actually fishing it's head off with loads coming out this week its just North of Reims so a fair bit further up and over.

It started sporadically in the Champagne Region last week, which in my experience (over 20 years) is the earliest I have known. Reports I am getting is that it is still occurring and looking at the weather forecast could be finished in the next week or so. I am amazed that they started so early this year, a month ago it was snowing over there and the temperatures including water temperatures have been way below what is usually the norm for spawning activity.

I know venues are all different but what’s the score this year, has it mostly already happened, is it early/late this year? Anyone have any insight or seen any lakes where the carp have spawned etc I’d be interested to hear!
