My go to boilies are those I make myself because I don't use massive quantities and I can get something that I think is highly satisfactory for £4-5 a kilo. If I had to use boilies from a company (I've used a few) then I would just pick a name out of a hat as I don't really think it matters much at all. Personally, I think the majority of people's opinions on the success of individual baits they have tried are heavily skewed as a result of short-term application. Often you see people quote that they tried X bait and caught 10 carp in 5 minutes from a lake with 3 fish in 400 acres after blanking for 12 years. There's many variables I would attribute this success to before considering the bait. Let's face it, the vast majority of these boilies will all catch carp if you accidentally pub chuck them in the right place.

In reply to Post #39 various baits from there mate. Main ones ive been consistently for 16 years using are
Fruit frenzy
RNR
TnM
SV1 and SV2
Peanut spice
PRB
In the past ive used
SBS - used to buy all the bits n bobs and roll them
Premier baits - as above
Mainline - started off with grange, then milky toffee (my fav of theirs) then went onto active 8 (done well on that) used the Fusion, then discovered Poachers whilst i was at Les Quis as some bloke was smashing it, so moved to poachers and been their ever since.
Been using TC's hookbaits lately, really impressed.
Ive also been lucky to have some of Carp Chronicles pop up, not used them as yet, but will.

In reply to Post #1 I have used various bait companies over the years, tested for some, (test, not just got a deal), so obviously I have to say the bait I'm on, Rod Hutchinson Infusion and KMG.

In reply to Post #41 Just a heads up, a firm named "Galaxy Baits" makes your fish seed and skunk mix I believe, under the guise "galaxsea oil" but I could be wrong, they claim it is anyway. - Popped up on my facebook feed of adverts today ironically ( or a group post can't remember ) and the name skunk reminded me of your post!

In reply to Post #1 Bait is a strange one because when I used to fish the itchen for the carp I caught almost all my fish on anything soaked in krill liquid, so dynamite tiger boilies soaked in krill - caught,a piece of squid in arma mesh -caught among other boilies/bait I tried, all caught when soaked in krill liquids, yet tried the old nash squid powder never had a bite.
I even had a 22lb pike on a boilie soaked in krill from the itchen as well it was hooked right in the mouth they must have liked fish meal baits more than any others and with it being close to the sea(Solent) it is a possible theory
