the 5 night rule has sorted quite a bit of the noncence out mate, the hassle is mainly on gaunts, i can only get down
when i can as i run a kitchen company but if a 50lber doesnt bother you ,there are plenty of swims on the other 2 lakes
i for one wont be dropping my ticket ,because i dont fish gaunts.

I may have seen you at some point i was a member for 3 years mid 2000's before the floods then rejoined around 6 years ago it seems to get busier each year. I also come down from cheshire (stockport)

I haven't been down this year yet due for various reasons i got really fed up the last year i have worked all through covid and only went down midweek using my holidays and was fed up seeing the same groups constantly in same swims, you could ask when they were going to be told not for few days etc only to walk past next day or similar and find they had gone and their mate was already set up in peg.

There is also what seems full time anglers on that were doing week after week the 5 night limit will at least stop some of it but there are just too many members, the only bonus is there are some good size fish and they are not too hard to catch

I agree its not like that anymore the year before last i went down several times on a sunday or monday with the intention of fishing gaunts and was often left with the choice of only one or two pegs. the more popular pegs were being rotated and stitched up by small groups

At the time there was a lot of people off work with covid etc but long gone are the good old days

I was on there a few years ago and there's was a massive difference between the two, especially if you can fish in the week, many times I had a lake to myself

Usually busiest on the bank holidays as are the day tickets but generally a lot quieter especially as there are fewer swims so lakes are not as crowded like the day tickets so you have plenty of water to fish

Cheers for the reply buddy. I think that's what worries me a little. Always managed to get a swim implies there isn't really much difference between the guys Syndicate and just fishing the day tickets?

Afternoon all,
I've just had my invite come through for the syndicate at Linear. Is anybody on here a member, and able to tell me how busy it gets midweek? Is it worth the money?
