Honestly. I hope loads more of these waters are opened up. Loads and loads of them. May help disperse some of the people from the lakes I actually want to fish

Shame about the death though

Not disputing any of that! All I mean is - if people are willing to pay the price for something, then for them it's not too expensive. I did about 2 months a couple of years ago and couldn't stand it, but I had to use up holiday in the winter and it's very close to home! Never again.

That tells you more about modern carp fishing than it does about the water - a lot of guys these days want neat swims that'll accommodate all their gear, wifi, power sockets and plastic carp to catch. Just glorified camping in so many ways. I pay good money not to fish that sort of water! Give me a big wind swept gravel pit, no platforms or landscaped swims - just a low stock of biggies and a proper challenge thank you.

Saw a post on Facebook from November. A WhatsApp message that was sent to the membership list.

Seems that the 40 - stocked November 2021 - has died, along with several others. Not sure how recent this is, but within the last few months apparently.

Fished it when it was a hole in the ground, about 15 years ago. Everyone doing the same thing, casting to the gaps in the islands. I reeled in to go and look at a spot further down only for the bloke next door to start chucking two method balls into the gap in said island.

Chalked it down to just standard day ticket chithousery.

Same as Elphicks. Fished most of those when they were holes in the ground, Same scenario with people chucking lines over each other for a 3lb F1.

Nothing changes.

Yes, just get a decent dongle or spare sim and work from your laptop at the gravel pit

I didn't see that, though it's hard to dispute!
