Wilberforce, I forgot to ad to my post that Dave put in a custom swingtip in with the rod as a gift for me as well..

I will definitely be using Dave again,....my son is planning on getting his Mk 1 armalites all redone,...

Roll on Saturday ,may my tips be swinging with the best of them...lol

Saturday is roach day ,Sunday is carp day..!!

Short sessions are wicked..

I recall your thread on a proper 9ft swingtip rod.
I too have used Trafford Tackle Repairs.
He used to make the swingtips themselves in various weights and configurations. along with the specialist rubbers.
High quality kit.

I think if you get great service ,or a nice product, you should share that experience, only too often people are quick to criticise..

So..

Back along,I started looking for a swingtip rod,a proper one,I searched and searched, all I could find was real old ones, long story short ,I found a chap called Dave Kelly @ Trafford Tackle Repairs ,who had a few original Northwestern carbon swingtip blanks left..I contacted Dave and he agreed to make me a rod,to my spec..

All I can say is ,the rod exceeded my expectation, communication was brilliant..

Dave does all sort of Repairs,to rods, and rebuilds to full on builds, not only this he is fantastic at reel servicing..

So ,check Dave Kelly out on FB...

Recommended..👌👌
