In reply to Post #4 Not sure about the MS account transfer TBH.
As Tinhead mentions SSD have no moving parts and last a long time, they aren't cheap and quicker read/write times, just better than a spindle one so for 200 quid it's a good deal!

In reply to Post #3 A SSD doesn't have any moving parts so will last a very long time.

In reply to Post #2 Sorry, also meant to ask about the Windows software. My windows 10 licence on my old machine was linked to my MS account, can I transfer this across to the new machine if needed?

In reply to Post #2 Thanks for the feedback
Interested in your comment about the SSD, do they only have a limited life span?

In reply to Post #1 Looks fine for what you want to do - a new SSD is worth the money too.
Check your monitors are Display Port on the back, if they are HDMI you can buy DP > HDMI cables on ebay/amazon
I'd personally completely re-format it and if the the win 10 licence is a corp one it can be reused, otherwise get an OEM win 10 licence which is a one off machine only for about £30, just to be safe get rid of any suspect programs re-installed.

Any IT experts on here?
My ageing PC has finally died again and this time nothing I try will coax it back to life so need a replacement. All we really use it for is web browsing and a bit of Photoshop so don't need anything too highly speced and thinking that refurb will give the best bang for buck. Seen this one on Ebay but before I press the button is there anything else around the £200 mark which would be a better buy?
