Hats off to this guy who despite the usual over inflated carp associated premiums provides a genuinely fair price but due to the effect of the premium conditioning over the last decade plus the guy gets eyed with suspicion which just shows the state of the consumer shafting taking place.

In reply to Post #21 Just for fun as a quid makes no reel (lol) difference...... But it's actually £25 without vat
£25 + 20% vat = £30
Taking off 20% from the total doesn't quite work the same

In reply to Post #21 https://felindreinnovations.co.uk/reel-servicing/
charges £16.99 a reel plus vat

In reply to Post #19 Do not be put off by Ants pricing at £15 a reel, he is a genius of a former engineer by trade. My 3 sets were immaculate when they came back and he even found a problem with my worm shaft on one of my 45 QDA's and went to the trouble of showing me with a whattsapp video. First class service 👍

In reply to Post #19 I dont think i would worry too much about his cheaper prices, it sound like he is a very proficient at what he does and wouldn't take him long to strip a reel, grease and reassemble once cleaned probably have several on the go at once strip one put parts in cleaner start on next one, going on like that etc.
Being in cheshire and reasonably local to me i would have no problem using him, i have previously always used gary at custom reels but he has not always been as easy to get hold of as he used to be.

In reply to Post #20 Cheers Bradders, ive looked at his facebook page etc, and everyone comments how good he is….
Thinking about it Tackle box charge £30 per reel which £6 is vat so that leaves £24.00 a few quid for grease and oil so that say £22.00 left, less profit wages etc then they are probably about the same….
I suppose someone who does this every day may only take 20mins to strip and 20mins to rebuild, so may be able to do 3 reels in 2 hours and make £40.00 for himself, i assume he wont be paying VAT, tax etc,
