Well done India cracking test match drizzling in Scotland. It looked at one stage we would have a big big 1st innings lead but they dug deep then batted us out the match i suppose. When the pressure was on we weren't up to it.

Still positive, but it's muggy as hell and looks like a bowling day where I am. (6 miles ish from the oval)
Will need a few wickets in the tank when the new ball comes

It's game on

Should have been a lot easier tho, some expensive mistakes in that innings

Strange to be watching such a dead pitch when wickets have been tumbling in all the County games

Still can't believe they didn't pick Ashwin as this is made uo for him think his last bowling here for Surrey was a 6 fer.

Tough day today!

No foakes in the Surrey squad still, probably rules him out of a trip down under

Yeah nicely poised let's hope the heavy roller tomorrow takes the sting out of the pitch still plenty in it for the bowlers.
The 50 by Thakur could be a vital knock in this test when someone starts going at them Englands tactics always revert
to the short ball and they get carted. Just bowl at the stumps ffs.

Decent day for England, good fightback from india
Should be fun if Overton comes out swinging in the morning

An image on the BBC cc feed made me laugh, 8 fielders round the bat in the Hampshire yorks game

Ashwin would've liked that in the 4th innings here

Bit of drizzle in the air round Wimbledon, but looks a bowling day. Good job ashwin isn't playing, 4th innings at the oval is usually a spinners dream

England win toss and bowl. Brave decision at The Oval but, living just round the corner the conditions are bowlers but they have to bowl in the right places otherwise you get punished on this track. Amazingly Ashwin still not picked i think India have missed him. Pope and Woakes in just hope it's not to early for Woakes. Pope needs runs on his own ground.
Surprised Wood or Mahmood are not in for pace.

Well deserved that, an outstanding 10 months
Steyn was a great bowler, andersons biggest strength is that his body can cope with the demands. I often wondered if Steyn dropped to mid 80s pace like Jimmy did would he have had the same longevity?

The calls for Livingston fell flat then, never a good look having your stumps rearranged leaving one
Slow afternoon at work for me today, I hoped he might launch into the bowling to force a result in that match
