No doubt it's good stuff but a semi stiff coated braid is probably not the best choice for a solid bag.

This is the stuff if you are in any doubts.

I've also now found a 45lb version aswell for my catfishing which I'm convinced is made by these guys.

I might get some to compare with the Sharp tackle Aquasilk which is the same price.
Might well be the same stuff rebranded

Ive not seen it mentioned yet but i use korda dark matter braid, its a little bit stiffer than some of the others mentioned, but i like it, its easy to use and tie perhaps a little stiff for the application but the fish dont seem to mind , Ive had some great fish this year using it. I will be buying some of there super natural soon to try that too.
I also use one from ashima which is a very cool hooklink called ground hog which is almost the oposite style of hooklink, its very slippery and smooth and heavy and should be the much more appropriate hooklink for the job but the results between the two dont differ much so i tend to use the korda one its easier to tie.

No problem mate, I'm glad you like it. I've started to buy more of these non-branded products and since everything is made in China anyway these days, I'm convinced there's no difference.

You'll be buying more at that price like I did.

Well the braid turned up this week while I was fishing but just had a look at it.

It's everything you said it was and I've compared it to the last bit of kryston silkworm I have and it is almost the same. No more searching for an replacement braid for the silkworm this probably is silkworm.

Thanks Pete.

You'll be impressed with it. I think I have about 5 spools of it and use it for all my solid bags apart from when I'm targeting catfish. Awesome stuff 👍

Thanks for that link it looks good as though it might be okay so I've ordered a spool to try. I've been looking for a replacement for the old kryston silkworm for ages and by the photos this looks very similar.

ESP anchor braid is spot on. Supple but sinks like a brick.

Here's something a bit different.

Go on Ebay and have a look at the Dongbory 8 Braid Soft Hook link, its about £6 for 20m (25/35lb) and it's up there for me with the well known brands. I use the Camo Green and have it in both sizes.
