In reply to Post #6 People will want different things from their baits depending on circumstances.
If you’re sticking them out 100 yards then a firmer bait is definitely better but if you’re fishing short sessions and are fishing within catapult range it’s perfectly normal to want a softer bait that is instantly pumping off attraction, and if pre-soaked/washed out can give the fish the impression they have been in the water longer.
Different strokes for different folks. He isn’t ‘incorrect’ as you so bluntly put it.

In reply to Post #7 I do in the main that's why i use a freezer bait, but i did have a couple of very good sessions using some very very firm shelf life baits i was given, the things were like marbles and i know the fish were feeding on them well before they broke down.
Be different.

In reply to Post #5 Incorrect, if you're putting bait out with a stick you need firm baits. Secondly a firm bait doesn't always mean breakdown times are overly long. If you want to speed them up then chop's is an option.
Hard/firm baits can also trip fish up if everyone else is doing the standard soft freebees, carp love a good crunch.

No freezer space at home sadly. I like the bait but it's too hard in shelf-life form. I've used the bait booster without much help. Any ideas please on something that will really soften Live System please?
