That video encapsulates everything that is great about carp fishing: the emotion, the exhilaration and the pure joy that we get from this wonderful pastime.

Every lake is different! The Oxford waters I dabble on responded better to matching Wafters in recent months and I avoided bright hookbaits for that very reason. However the hookbaits I see working the most at the moment are sting, squid and also krill and cal! The dark sting seems to be very effective for many where bright ones fail to produce. The seasons are changing and we may need to change with them

I know Gav really loves the STING in winter.......id go for the Squid & sting . If you like fruity then you'll never tire of smelling the eton mess, banoffee types which are different to what most anglers would use ie pineapple or mulberry types

Going to order a couple of pots of hookbaits for new water starting soon, what would be your two to pick at this time of year?

Awesome creature. When I get time in the winter I will share a few of the mega captures from this year.
This is a Grenville carp and this one is not alone. There are some very pretty carp in there now.

If you type width=500 before the last > then that should make the image smaller
