I hope none of you put a lot of money on night fishing being allowed.
We can't fish nights...yet... end of discussion I think.

In reply to Post #108 'Is the truth not – the real reason for the Night Fishing ban is because the perception has developed that all who go night fishing get pissed out of their heads and have a right old jolly, and thanks to this perception ALL have got tarred with the same brush '
Its not perception though is it - its a reality and we all know it. A lot of carp anglers don't have two brain cells to rub together and love nothing more than ruining things for the rest of us.
You can't judge the rules by your own standards - they have to take into account the lowest common denominator.

For gods sake
Yet another thread that's turned into the carp forum equivalent of annoying kids repeatedly asking 'are we there yet?'
Patience is a virtue

In reply to Post #108 By my definition if you are sleeping overnight in or under a tent, tarp or bivvy you are camping. While camping you can fish. Not that it matters in the slightest, it's the overnight issue, no vernight camping=no overnight fishing, and why should we be different. In these circumstances no room for foot stamping primadonnas.,

In reply to Post #108 Camping overnight essentials : tent, sleeping bag, pillow, cooking equipment, sounds exactly like fishing minus rods.
The reason why fishing is banned is because you're not allowed to stay away from home overnight. I would guarantee next to no one in parliament even knows what is involved when carp fishing, think you're looking for an excuse which isnt there

In reply to Post #105 By definition if you have baited Rods in the water you are fishing – not camping.
No form of Camping equipment is essential to go fishing; you also defiantly don’t need any fishing equipment if you are going Camping, simples.
Is the truth not – the real reason for the Night Fishing ban is because the perception has developed that all who go night fishing get pissed out of their heads and have a right old jolly, and thanks to this perception ALL have got tarred with the same brush
