I quite like the look of the Gardner 10ft GTC’s, anyone got a view on these as don’t see them mentioned much, they seem very well made.
They’d be on my “short” list

I'm very pleased with my 10 ft Wychwood Extricator Plus rods. Great rods if you want something in the mid price range.

Not in 3lb as I use 2.75 in 10ft.

Can’t fault them. Great rods imho. Love the TX2 as I have them in 12 ft 3lb also.

I think these rods are some of the best value purchases ive made for many years ... only rivalled by the Okuma Inc 6000 reels for VFM

Still using mine and love them.
Solid bags to 50yds, 3 bait stringers to 70yds, excellent action and not too mushy.

If you can find them the TFG Compact Commercial 10' 2.5lb Carp Rods are a very nice rod and buck the trend of 3lb+ test curves for very little money.

I had the Shimano Tribal Velocity 2.75lb in 11ft and they were horrible and heavy blank

I was in the same boat as you mate but decided to get a little more and now have ordered a set of 3 custom Harrison aviators 10ft 3.25 I paid £375 for each I was happy with that tbh seeing I was quoted about £350 for the torrix each

Thanks I think It’s all about fashion 50 ml rings high tcs I think people go for 3.25 to replace there 12fts because as you probably know once you have used 10fts for a while a 12ft feels so big and awkward I know a few people that have sold there 12fts for that reason

I was talking about the 3.25 tc but to be honest i much prefer the ballista stalker to the torrix , just my personal opinion .Thousands of torrix have been sold so lots like them but i dont know why people buy 3.25 rods and above with stupidly big guides to fish small venues.
