Greys GT4 10ft 3lb are lovely rods - paired with 5500 ci4s they’re a pleasure to use, and can still stick a 3oz lead with 15lb synchro loaded a very healthy distance if needed.

In reply to Post #21 For me the Tx-2 is a overhyped stiff rod with ugly pink wrapings, Avind traction is alot better imo.

In reply to Post #21 got the original tribal 10ft rods, 3lb tc, possibly the nicest rods ive used. Ultra thin handle, and will stop an express train. They are hard to find because everyone who got a set keeps them.

I can’t recommend the CTX enough. I’ve got them in 9ft and had fish from weedy waters up to 27, never felt like they were out of grunt. I use Harrison’s as my main carp rod, but can’t argue with the quality of the CTX, never felt like a budget rod.

Can anyone answer what the difference is between the FS CTX and S Lite, from having used them? They seem very similar.

In reply to Post #1 I use the Traction Pro in 3lb, cracking rods, great quality, cast well, but places I fish are about 6 acres max. Good playing action, full length butts, 40mm butt ring. And at £90 a go brilliant value, in my opinion absolutely no point paying more for sticks to do the same job.

In reply to Post #13 Yes the standard ones come with shorter handles. Give Gary Peet a ring at the Tackle box he designed the rods and can talk you through them. When they arrived and I took them out of the tube I was stunned how light they felt. Well worth the wait and glad I went for the custom build which wasn’t that much more than the standard build.

In reply to Post #13 They had the handle length increased to 17inches long on the 10ft CFX black rods when their shipped to them already made up as standard if you want the handle length longer it’s £20 a rod I was quoted couple of weeks ago and they ain’t doing any rod building or mods till April onwards due to how busy they are at the moment

In reply to Post #12 Do the standard ones on their website only come with short handles? Are they a light / thin blank?
Been looking at them a while but always been put off having to wait for them to be made etc.
Thanks

In reply to Post #1 Had a set of Tackle box CFX 3lb rods custom built last year and can’t fault them. I went for the custom build option because I didn’t want short handles which a lot of 10ft rods seem to have.
