French bureaucracy is a nightmare , i have suffered it whilst applying for permission to convert a farm building and again to build a swimming pool.

they love paperwork !

Never seen so much "gaslighting " from a government as what i have witnessed from Hancock in the last few days , he is a sad indictment as too how low we have sunk politically .

I have heard from a source in France that Macron is waving the "nationalism flag " at our expense as he tries to blame us for their lack of vaccines , i was hoping to be there in May to bag some river monsters !

Before we address the ridiculousness of that attitude...

Can we first get to the bottom of how you spend your Tuesday mornings?

I had a chat this morning with half a dozen young women, early 20's. Not one of them said they'll have a vaccination, they all said they've heard it can make you sterile and they want children. Where the fook does this codswallop come from

90% of care home residents and over-75-year-olds in England have chosen to receive their first dose of the vaccine.
Let's hope that continues for everyone else.

70% is just a rounded off figure based on the government projections of 75% adult uptake. Either way it still leaves a significant percentage for the virus to play with. I hear where your coming from and hopefully you are right, but that would involve a lot of cards falling in all the right places.

I read a headline yesterday regarding Germany and France and the uptake of the Astra Zeneca jab, as we know we nearly had the vaccine wars not too many weeks ago with Germany trying to make demands and stamp their feet and because it never went their way both countries as well as most of Europe were slow on the uptake to place orders were then saying that the AZ jab was not as effective in over 65 years olds yada yada...
Now they are getting supplies of the AZ jab the population are not taking up the appointments to vaccinate as their government told them it wasn't very good, one centre in Germany with the capacity to vaccinate 3000no AZ jabs a day are seeing around 200no through the door as they do not want a less effective Jab, you reap what you sow.
The Government have made a lot of mistakes throughout all this as I believe any other party would of in power in the UK over the last twelve months but I cannot see much wrong they have done with the roll out of vaccines and where we currently are it deserves a little praise.

however, I feel the only way out of this is for compulsory vaccinations, to the point where it becomes a criminal offence to refuse

Cant say i agree with that but each to their own......

Im sure the % of people who dont have the vaccine will be smaller than 30% and mutations will naturally occur, hopefully the vaccines already developed wil still offer a layer of protection and further development of vaccines will no doubt carry on to fight mutations......

The big worry with this vaccine is that it could prove to be a complete waste of time. If 30% of the population don't take it for whatever reason then the virus is free to mutate among them into whatever it wants. The vaccinations of the 70% will then have become ineffective putting us back to square one or worse depending on what the virus has developed into. I was initially vaccine hesitant, however, I feel the only way out of this is for compulsory vaccinations, to the point where it becomes a criminal offence to refuse. I really hope that I am wrong but we could be in the sh#t again next winter.

I expect that to ratio be 100,000 vs. 0 minimum

On a good point I heard they were overproducing so would start giving it away to third world countries

On a negative with a bit of a plus, my Missus had her jab a few months ago now, people who work for emergency services are been called at short notice when people donít turn up for the jabs. WTF is wrong with people
