Half truths are better than out and out lies / some stuff a bloke made up on facebook though Wayne (regarding the media)

As for cases etc. I'd agree that testing is part of the rise in numbers. But that's not a bad thing. It's better to know that there is an increase in positive cases so this can be analysed. If it shows that more young people are contracting the new variant, but that the effects are less severe, then surely that is useful information.

It's affected us at work. We closed 3 days early before half term as cases were on the up and the head figured tat 3 days of online learning with everyone having a clear 10 day window away from school was the best option. Made real sense to me.
Now we are back, we are still seeing more cases in young people (11-16). The LA asked us all - staff and parents - to do the PCR test early last week. The result was a few more kids testing positive and a knock on effect with more kids sent home as hey had been in bubbles / close contact. It's hugely disrupting - I'm having to reschedule an exam for the 2nd time and we are running out of school weeks before the Summer. Plus the effect on the kids and parents who are also having to isolate.
So - whilst deaths / hospitalisations are not as severe, there IS an effect that is being felt. If more young people were vaccinated, the spread would decrease.

Got my 2nd jab next weekend. I'm testing every 2 / 3 days. If it means i'm part of a solution and not part of a problem - especially given the number of people i come into contact with at work - then it's a no brainer.

There not dropping like flys Scoz! Testing is through the roof again......cases are rising and have been for 8 days now yet deaths and those being hospitalised is still flat......if that continues for another 5 days then there really is no need to extend lockdown........

My point is the misleading truth of the ****ing media again!

What a plum!! recorded cases not deaths or hospitalisations using a test ďlateral flow ď that was designed for people showing symptoms not A symptomatic & has at best a 10% success rate 17 deaths population 68 million !! Why the concern youíve had the vaccine or donít they work ? The vaccine is our route to freedom #SILVERBULLET 😂😂😂

Joke isnít it.......new variant bollox is being hammered by the news to get under 30s vaccinated by stating misleading info.......BBC for instance saying admissions at the minute are ďyoungerĒ people.......shame there not saying itís people over 55.......misleading teenagers into getting a vaccine they simply donít need.......

Wtf are you on about, you reckon I have time to read conspiracies
I donít have a doctor, when Iím dying Iíll see what the hospital can do but I do have friends and family who are doctors and nurses. Iíve discussed it with plenty of people but Iím not that gullible and know full well that a gp is a diagnostician, not a virologist etc. In fact some of them are full of ****!
Donít try and belittle me or take the moral high ground. Itís been ok for me to go to work every day while people on furlough managed to catch covid while they were supposed to be at home.
I make my own decisions in the interest of my family, **** doing it for the nationís safety... most ****s couldnít give 2 ****s about anybody else going by the behaviour Iíve seen
I look out for numbers 1,2,3 and 4 when it comes to the crunch
What happened when people thought food was running out? Buy so much they had to throw most of it away. They donít care if other people went hungry.
Just like 90% are not being jabbed to help the wider community, theyíre doing it because in their own risk assessment itís whatís best for them.
