After holidays in Switzerland and S.Korea last year, it sounds like sheís in need of a holiday this year asap.
Easy, have one in this country and make Greta happy with all the aviation fuel saved.

On a more serious note with our Indian variant how many countries will actually want us?

What's the betting they'll only make the lockdown 2 or 3 weeks instead of 4 weeks?

I don't like her, but she makes some valid points.

Pensioner should be shot at birth...

There is a Schrodinger-like paradox in your statement, Chris. If they were to be shot at birth, pensioners would not live to become such...

The virus has done what virus's do and has taken a target audience namely mostly the over 80's and those with pre conditions. It has taken some before their time was due as well. We are down to less than Flu season levels in hospital admissions and deaths but i don't remember ever the country shutting down in Flu season!

Yet again Boris side steps Parliament and the correct procedure in announcing the halting of opening up. He wants his Churchill moment but he is more like the dog in adverts scraping his balls on a slide than the great man himself. I bet the spunk trumpets in the Labour party provide no opposition as usual and it will be the dissenters from the Conservatives providing the opposition as usual through this period of time.

What really at this time i getting my goat is the "woke" names for the variants. Alpha, Delta etc. To quote all the main news sources "the delta variant has now taken over the Kent variant as the main variant" As an oppressed minority I object to this. Remember KLM (Kent Lives Matter)

Back to jabs with all the uptake and previous infections PHE has stated that 80% now have antibodies, but this won't probably be effective against the G7 variant, the variant that only attacks you if official cameras are deployed but doesn't attack you at BBQ's and official RAF fly pasts.

Look, the world population needs thinning out (excuse the pun). So the Chinese probably added a fat **** eliminating protein to various strains of bat flu with American money and periodically released them in Coca Cola and Doritos.

Edited my previous post, as in it's original form it made no sense. Not uncommon given my ageing grey matter!

(Noj; I think you have missed your calling...You'd make an ideal diet and health counsellor...Signed...an aforementioned beer swilling, fat ****! )

Agreed, could also have locked down the areas this latest Indian variant is spreading, sadly again to late as they flock to the beaches. Currently waiting for a ferry that is 2 hours late for the Isle of Wight and people from all over the country here waiting, wonder if any of these have covid.

Not really mate, Iím ticking along nicely. Funnily enough one group of people more likely to die from covid have been overindulging in government controlled drugs... taxable ones... booze, fat and sugar; which combined must kill more than covid each year. Especially as the covid deaths wouldíve included many of these time bombs if they could somehow get covid on the death certificate.
Another group is those deemed at high risk because we allow evolution to be disrupted by treating them with modern medicine when they wouldnít have been alive 100 years ago. Thatís not meant to sound heartless or suggest we let people die of these issues, but if you create a society of folk needing to be propped up by drugs you create 2 things; a population who over generations become genetically weaker and massive profit for pharmaceutical companies. Fit and able bodied people shouldnít suffer financially or socially because somebody else is either a fat **** or unfortunate enough to have health problems.
Shield the vulnerable by all means but fat ****ers should be on their own just as those who donít want the vaccine are, itís a life choice you have to stand by and theyíve had plenty of time to lose weight. Itís nobody elseís fault theyíve eaten themselves into the danger zone. Itís well documented that being a lard arse puts you at risk yet over a year on Iím still surrounded by these monstrosities eating garbage and perpetuating the problem.

On the plus side, I had a safe coffee with my old mate John this evening

And that what life in the U.K. is about, you can do whatever you like, freedom of choice when these restrictions are not in place!

Itís just nice to get out and get things back to some kind of normal, meet friends, have a pint etc.

Flip side of the coin, hindsight is a wonderful thing and on reflection it is a learning curve for the human race and it just goes to show how ignorant we can be. just imagine if it was one where you contacted it you were dead! (Thatís probably a few years down the line)

A lot of learning for this government too the sad side is, this bumbling ****ing idiot will come out of it smelling of roses
