I donít understand it myself mate. I read one instance where a lads father was rushed into hospital Ďnorth staffsí with a heart attack and family were informed that he may not make the night and still they wouldnít allow ANY members of his family to see him.

Been told under no circumstances is there any visits.

No news up to yet and hopefully the saying of no news is good news rings true.

Edit - Could well be that intensive care unit are more prone to infection. Either way, itís immoral and any families that have gone through this then I hope they end up getting some kind of closure because it just doesnít sit right.

Thanks mate and sorry to hear what yourselves also went through. I lost my dad when I was 11 and my mum around 12 years ago and it knocked the absolute stuffing out of me to lose my mum. Your dads your dad but to a male your mums your mum and it hit me harder.

Just hope indeed that someone sees sense soon as surely no one but no one should be denied their last words or even a bloody hug if need be.

Itís immoral.

Mate that's awful. Really sorry to hear it.

My mam died 8 weeks back. She had been in a nursing home since just before Christmas and it was a long time before I'd been allowed to see her even for just 30 minutes. Once they knew she was on her way and they had moved to the 'just in case' medication, they said I could visit as much as I wanted to in her own room and my sister and I were there through the night with her when she passed away. I can't tell you how much it meant to us all. We followed simple distancing ppe, hygiene and mask rules and they looked after all 3 of us.

Let's hope someone sees sense soon and cases like your brother in law stop happening.

Thank you mate and same as you say hope the situation improves. I donít blame you for doing what needed to be done as Iíve just told my wife if it was my brother Iíd be up there and no one would stop me. Wife not in the best of health so doing what Iíd do is out of the question and his parents are mid 80s. Iím amazed that his sons havenít kicked off yet Ďwouldnít be surprised if they are as I typeí as they are pretty mad really.

What an absolute shambles.

Really sorry mate, hope the situation improves.
The missus had a baby in the depth of lockdown, I was allowed in but not to leave and return, well I had to go out for essentials and they said I couldnít come back in to see my newborn son... 4 security guards eventually agreed that they didnít want to lose their lives over it and I was actually escorted back in

My wifeís brother was found collapsed at home......His son phoned 999 and was taken into hospital.

Renal failure, bleeding inside kidneys and is too ill to operate. Itís a waiting game and on 24 hour care and not responding to medication.

But because of covid neither his mother, father, sisters and sons can go and visit him despite all being double jabbed.

What the actual fcuk is that all about and Iíve read of other cases too. Itís immorally wrong that his mum and dad are dreading the call to say their son has passed away and they are denied any last words.

To say Iím fcuking seething is an understatement to say the least.
