And another scary quote from the same UK gov source... Quote...

"60. Increased frequency of genetic mutations that are associated with potential or partial
immune escape, such as E484K alone or in combination with other mutations, are also
concerning. This could be due to evolution within variants, for example in the UKís current
dominant variant B.1.1.7, or importation of other new strains that already harbour these,
such as B.1.351. The widespread transmission of a variant that circumvents vaccine induced and naturally acquired immunity is a realistic possibility."

That is the really scary bit of all of this, and the reason the whole world needs to resolve this too ^^^^^^

That is scary Tom!!

I also got this from Moo's UK gov link.... Quote...

"To reflect emerging evidence, Warwick now assume 90% effectiveness against both
hospitalisation and deaths after two doses of either vaccine, compared to a weighted
average of 84% for Imperial. Imperial have updated their Pfizer dose 1 vaccine
effectiveness assumptions for hospitalisation and death."

90% protection against hospitalisation or death... That will do for me

Yes, good news

I'll still have to quarantine for 5 days when I get back here as the rules stand now, but I can live with that.

Itís also projections made 4 months ago, well published 4 months ago, written maybe 5.
I havenít had time to read it but noticed this- ď This means population immunity Ė which is the reason the waves modelled here start to shrink Ė is not achieved from vaccination without further infectionsĒ

you conspiracy guys are never very good at understanding graphs and data are you Moo, look how proportionately huge those unvaccinated hospitalisations and deaths are considering the vaccine take up model they have worked from. Scary stuff!

You don't think a vaccine will reduce the viral load of the infected person? Therefore the ability of the virus to infect others? Pariah's of the future with loads of restrictions on your way of life if you don't take the vaccine. Your choice

We should do what we did to solve Foot and mouth. Vaccinate who we can and burn everyone else in a big heap.

Sounds like ****ing with evolution as usual and further weakening of humanity
Ironically, science/medicine, the thing that allows less than healthy people to live.. is often the reason many of those physical problems havenít been lost in Ďnatural selectioní. Thatís cruel I know, but itís a fact. You canít beat nature, every action has a reaction...
Again I donít want to sound nuts, but we are antibiotic consuming processed food eating genetic wet farts heading down the pan
The Rothschildís will be there to flush it and spray some febreze, naturally

Population in fear. The powers that be, have to be very careful what they say, even regarding what could be the true outcome of any of this. One wrong word, and the general public go into meltdown (See herd immunity comments at the start). The general public just cannot deal with the whole truth. It's too much for us.

That above is cold hard facts. That above, allows conspiracies too propagate. It's a viscous circle. How much do they actually say, without alarming the general public.

Anyone who knows anyone close to them, that is in a medical background, army or police knows full well that this above is true. They get to hear the real truth, the truth that the general populate just cannot deal with, without there being mass meltdowns on a national scale.

Then the conspiracies can start because of exactly that above. Playing on peoples fear. If they told everyone the whole truth right from the start, there would be far less of this conspiracy nonsense.... But by doing that, you send the general population into meltdown. What's for the best? What would you do if you were in control to manage that situation?

That's my honest take on things.

Fair point noj

But in that scenario, better to keep vaccinating to beat current versions and make the nasty little virus have to work harder eh?

From what I've read, that sounds a lot like the annual reworking of the flu jab.

Considering none of us are medical professionals, and even they can get it wrong.. nobody can rule out the virus being forced into a mutation by the vaccine It doesnít stop infection 100% obviously, but as it passes back through X billion vaccinated hosts worldwide who had different vaccines that attack but allow progression of the virus. who knows?
Thatís not me going YouTube news on you, but such is the uncertainty as they open fully again I think trash talking either side is a little premature.
You donít see much discussion, just statements
