In reply to Post #6 Thanks mate. Sounds encouraging. Looking forward to fishing Walthamstow this spring and summer hopefully. It sounds like an exciting challenge, as location is absolutely paramount, which is what pretty much everyone says if I ask about it or have seen any videos on it. Can’t wait to get amongst some soon. Thanks everyone for the info.

In reply to Post #5 There are still plenty in the 2/3 . As it’s only season ticket holders it’s very quiet at mo.
The 1 just had a few hundred stockies put in and lower had about 40 . Still plenty in lower too but like all the lakes you need to find them 1st. 123 shuts in 2 weeks till June 1st.

In reply to Post #2 Yes, have had a few walks up there recently, and all the attention is on the No.1 right now. Recently went for a walk up there and there were 5-6 anglers on the 1. Not a single soul though on the 2 and 3. Haven't seen the Maynards. Not sure if there is just no fishing on the 2-3 and other reservoirs because of lockdown and whatnot. Maybe will fully re-open to the other reservoirs or something I'm not sure. Anyone know of the catch rates and the state of the complex over the past two years? All the info I can find out is quite old so I'm not sure whats been going on for the past few seasons. I think you may be right that it’s only ticket holders allowed to fish right now.
edit: anyone know about the bream stocks? I know they can often be a pain, but at such a large size they could be a nice target as I have never caught a big bream.

In reply to Post #1 Hi mate, the fish kill was on the 1, 100's of carp died. They have put new fish in but not loads I believe. Not been for a couple of years, may pop down for a walk soon.
There is a decent FB page that has lots of old info (not many are fishing it at the moment-think it's just ticket holders only) could be wrong though.

Hello everyone. Walthamstow is very near to my home in London, about 20 mins away. I have had several trips up there not fishing but jus checking out the reservoirs themselves. I have seen many anglers fishing the No.1 res, but no one on the 2 and 3, or the Maynards. I have learnt there was a fish kill a few years back, with a few hundred killed across all the reservoirs. I would like to know about the current stocks in the No.1,2,3, and Maynard reservoirs, and how the fishery dong in general, as I am looking forward to fishing them in the summer and maybe spring on the Lower Maynard. Any info would be very helpful.
