I thought they were made round so they could be fired out easily

Some carp anglers are bonkers, a fish doesn’t care if a bait is perfectly round 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Mr Carp does not have a problem with shapes.

The baits TCarper have designed are all about getting a response from the carp and respond they do!

I would be confident to cast a SHB boilie into any lake that has carp in it.

I can trim the 17mm smaller or a similar size to the 13s for a pop up I would go for 17mm CC. Used to a corkball only fan but these are better IMO.

Are the 17mm crushed corks more buoyant than the 16mm cork balls?

Thanks Jamie, all of the hook baits we produce, have always worked exceptionally well as single hook baits.

We can always do them as a special order for you mate... WhatsApp the work phone. Loads of customers still order them this way.

We only stopped making the hard coated hook baits for general sale, as they were causing us to get behind with our orders to much. Making, and more importantly drying the coatings on a large scale is a major PITA. Since we took them off of the website, we have always been in a much better place with our waiting times. The coatings take nearly a week to dry properly in our hook bait dryer. When we were selling them en masse they were taking up to much space and time in the drier. That's the only reason they were taken off the website along with the S1 & hard coated S2. But we can do any of them as a special order.

Big fan of the S2s, crushed corks and cork balls. Never fished them as singles but got to be worth a try

The crushed cork in 13mil will not pop up a size 4 , the bigger size will think they are 17mil .

I’ve done very well on the S2 and garlics last couple of years . Never really tried them properly as singles though, if I did I’d probably be going down the pink or white s2

Don’t think the fish can tell if a bait is perfectly round haha

I use the CC over the corkballs, much more hard wearing, can be cut down if need be, can be pierced, can leave them out for 2 days if need be. Have a look on his Facebook and you’ll see the CC don’t seem to do to bad in catching fish

He does them every now and then as specials he did a batch around this time last year. Think I remember him saying he doesn’t do them as a regular to order bait as they are a pain in the arse to make due to the coating

Fair enough. But if I were you. Don’t neglect their natural colour. Most anglers you see are using white/yellow/pink. Being slightly different may pay off.

S2 will work fine as a single.

Find them and put an S2 in amongst them. You will catch.

For use as a single hook bait I would use something bright and over flavoured. The specialized baits all seem to work better fished over bait.
