Good times Nick, remember them fondly. We could write a book on those two Boysaway trips alone. I also remember you forgot your passport and had to drive all the way home to collect it. I can't believe that was 16 years ago. The van trip on the first visit was a major experience. Me and Dean talking utter drivel about Gibbon Hairdressers and Olympic underwater goat formation swimming teams. We all caught carp and had a good laugh along the way. Its what it should all be about.
Thank you to the Carpforum, because without it, these trips would never of happened.
All the best mate, Paul.

Hi All

2008 for me

Met some absolute legends and characters on here, learnt a lot and I've hopefully given a lot back as well.
Miss certain members who've been sadly banned, mostly for their lost knowledge
I know the mods might delete this, but big shout out to Skear, probably the most argumentative tosser a man could come across, but boy did he know his ****!! True carper and one of the originals
Best

Oh yes, the infamous Boysaway trips.
The first one involved me and Mark Hadley driving a very rammed van which on the way back smelt so bad it made us retch when we got back in. On the night of the storm you and I stayed to fish while the rest tried to watch Liverpool somewhere. We both caught and then listened to the punching, the vomitting, a dog being showered and then a certain Welshman falling in the lake
I remember the Grassy you lost that jumped close in and catching my first 20. Also Deano and others building a bait island on the bottom lake which lead to his nice common.

Of course on the other hand myself and another Welshman ended up in a right state on the second trip. I seem to recall pulling him out of the lake before waking up very ill in my bivvy
I still have the scars on my back where I fell into the trees.
You and I both caught Cut Tail that trip, my first 30 and the lad I gave a lift from Hastings caught his only fish on the last day after lots of attempts. As we left after our breakfast roll we managed about a mile before he was violently ill.

Really enjoyed both those trips which were my first ones to France and learnt a lot from you Monkeyclimber

Joined Aug 2004, still lurk a bit to see what's going on. My memories are that I fished a battle carp match with Mark Hadley at cemex chertsey and also on a forum trip to Boysaway Carping in france with Mark Hadley, Dean Oram, Chunks & Brents. Good times.

My profile says 2003, but I'm pretty sure that I was a member before that and had to re register due to a data loss. Anyone else remember that?
