I also had a set maybe 25 -30 years ago think they were obelisk tackle, they were also behind a lot of the modern pod designs out now

I remember having a set of something almost identical 25+ years ago made by a company that used to advertise in Carpworld? Funny how stuff does a full cycle......

I have a set of the standard black ones. Used them for the first time the other day. Like what I see so far, light weight and versatile. Time will tell how long the coating will last but they look pretty robust, so we will see. There not cheap so I hope to get many years of use out of them yet.

Ive got the silver ones and a mate has the black ones. We fished together yesterday and his have already lost some coating. Worth saying that its a tiny bit on the edges so they are nothing like that cra*p fox black label stuff but the coating will chip

On a separate note, i love mine. They do everything you could ever want bars to do - and this is from someone who wont give cypography a penny for anything else because of their constant plugging of jim shelly who i have been unfortunate enough to fish on the same lake as

I wanted a set with an extra 'upright' but with zero response to messages looks like a non-starter.

What’s the quality of the finish like on the black ones? Will the coating chip off?
