Yeah I’ll wait. I’m in no rush as I still have my other setup. Hopefully I can get a good deal a bit later.

Yeah, I agree, tackle does seem to be expensive at the mo. You're faced with the same dilemma I was - buy now at £50ish each, or wait to see if they come back in stock at £130 for 3. Keep your eye on Parkfield Angling Centre, they are out of stock at the mo, but their price is (or was?) £130 for 3. They told me when I called them that they weren't going to have any back in stock until March, which could mean anything between next week and June! Perhaps give them a call and see if you can reserve some at a good price.

Thanks for the replies. The Okuma seems ideal. I think I’ll leave it for a bit and hopefully the prices will come down again. I don’t know if it’s just me but all tackle seems quite expensive at the moment.

I've just got the Okuma INC 6000's for my 10ft rods, they are perfect. The rods do have a 40mm butt ring though. I had a bit of trouble getting 3 though, if you look at threads on here, they were £40 each or 3 for £130, but when I was after them a week or two ago, hardly anywhere had any in stock. I ordered 3 @ £50 each, they rang me up and told me they only had 2 in stock. So I told them to send them, then found a single one at £48, ordered that, then they rang me and said it wasn't in stock. Then found a single one for £52, which duly arrived. Shortages of this popular reel have pushed the remaining ones up in price, Angling Direct have them for £55. I think the days of £40 or £45 Okuma INC 6000's has gone!!

Please could anyone recommend some cheap-ish reels for my short range rods. I don’t want to spend much as I don’t use them very often. The butt ring is only about 30mm so nothing too big. I used to have Shimano 6010’s on them but I got rid because they were a bugger for line twist. Thanks
