Not much between them apparently,a quick steam never harmed anyone 😁 I favour fluro hook links but with think link not a fluro I think it’s more reliable, think I’m gonna order some in .50 25lb

I bought a spool of the thinking anglers think link when it came out, i prefer amnesia as with the think link to get it straight i had to steam it but with amnesia it just pulls straight and is very user friendly

I think Oz Holness likened the think link to the amnesia

Careful, the company will be bought out by some billy big bollucks and then you'll pay a tenner for 20m spools

I've used amnesia for years, when I started fishing it was spinning for Bass using Amnesia as a leader/hook length, Amnesia was the leader/traces when beach casting for Smooth Hounds, now for most hooklengths in my Carp fishing, totally reliable which gives me confidence. Top product.

I’ve tried crimps on 30lb amnesia and it’s very good
Tried it on twenty and it slipped, under a quite a lot of pressure at home
Can’t confirm 25 though

I find amnesia pushes out normal bottom baits
Although to be honest I prefer a semi push out

Also I find it stiff but soft like already mentioned
That’s what I like about it👍🏻

Sea anglers have crimped it for years on hook traces. Do check every one though.

I havent tried as it knots down so well, finishing up like one of those fused links.
I used a once through the eye and four turn grinner with the 20lb.

If you were to try crimping it maybe best to try with the 25lb.

I was able to test out some rigs in a clear margin yesterday.
I was using 20lb clear amnesia as my boom (5-6") with a ronnie swivel and one rod had a wafter and the other had a 12mm balanced pop up.
I had an unsleeved quick change clip at the swivel end to allow a small bit of movement, it works like a loop but without tying a loop knot.
Dropping the lead into 2ft of water meant the rig followed it the lead straight down, but the boom still pushed the rig out and it fell away from the lead with no looping.

25lb amnesia is a favourite of mine too. I know what you mean Chuffy. You can pull it straight and it will push the bait away from the lead as it falls like a stiff material, but you can still knot it, it doesn’t kink and it has a bit of give like the softer materials. Plus you don’t have to buy it on poxy 10m spools.
