You seem to think that the lockdowns have been intended to beat the virus. Not sure where you’ve got that idea from.
The lockdown is intended to slow the spread of the virus so we don’t overwhelm the NHS. By slowing the spread this buys time for the vaccination program to get to the levels needed for the restrictions to start being relaxed.
It really isnt that hard to understand surely?
