I think most of the areas around Hampton court, Staines, Walton etc are still free
Used to fish around marlow a few years ago and never saw a sign or anyone to bother me so couldn’t say if that section is actually free or not but i know there are a few section around there that’s are controlled.

Hi folks,

As per the title, interested finding out more on the free sections of the Thames. I’m interested in taking my boys on there for a bit general fishing to broaden their fishing induction away from lakes only and getting them into the fun of moving water.

Can anyone share info on where the free to fish sections are? Cookham, Maidenhead, Slough, Windsor, Surrey is probably the easiest access for us.

I’ve had a search around on here and can’t seem to find much info?

Many thanks
