Had a chat with the English bailiff about 7 a couple of years back, still am very temtped, great for a bend in the rods. I have very fond memories of the main lake, fished it several times, lovely area too

Always used all our own bait (this is the first year they’ve banned bringing pellet), but may order some pellet etc this year.

Find 3 spots stick on them and the fish will come.

I am sure if you put the bait at the bottom of your gear you will get away with it. If you use the lake bait let me know what it is like although it is not the cheapest. Have you ever used the lake pellets. Do you tend to fish all 3 rods on one spot or spread them about.

Last time we went the 2 of us used 30kgs boillie, 50kgs hemp and 20kgs corn between us.

Not sure what we’ll do this year due out 3rd April and at present doesn’t look like we’ll be able to take bait to France other than sweetcorn (even that’s questionable)

Are you looking for certain spots. Or is it far margin fishing. Have you used particle on there as don't really fancy taking tonnes of bollies not sure the bank balance could handle it.

From the RH side of the swim all areas are castable LH side will need a bait boat unless your not doubling up in which case again castable

They only started doing their own bait last year so have always used Manilla. It’s the only lake I’ve ever fished where none of us who have been over the years can get a bite on a fishmeal. Have also had good results on hook baits soaked in tutti-frutti.
All stalked fish have been on sweet corn

Sounds good fun. What bait did you use they recommend the lake bait so was going to use that but I always like to try something else.

Fished it 4 times.
Take loads of bait, stick to your spots (mostly far side bait boated) and they’ll find it. Also stalking is excellent my best week is 48 fish (went home shattered)
