As posted below my V1 bivvy has the 3 bits of tube taped on and I leave the skull cap on all the time I got Army Andy to replace the crappy mesh that cracks after a time with stuff that will last the life of the bivvy Too

I now have a bivvy that will last a good few more years saves spending silly money on a new bivvy with very little improvements over this one
as I also had the front mesh panels replaced with clear plastic as to me front mesh are pointless ?

if its hot enough to have the vents open you may as well take the front off completely ?
and if mozzies are a problem put the mozzie front on I am loving the front clear panels as when its chucking it down I can see out and its a lot lighter inside too

I have just bought the new Wychwood 55" brolly for my tight river pegs and first thing I did was order the clear door panel

The skull cap does not fit the V1 tempest as the front 3 ribs are different not allowing the peak bars of skullcap to fit.

Tape 3 lengths of 6/8mm diameter hallow tubing to your 3 tops poles so the skull cap peak poles can slot in them thatís the conversion you need to do

What do you mean "conversion"? The V1 & V2 skull cap's should fit the respective bivvy/brolly versions without any conversions required.

As an example, the V2 Brolly Skullcap will fit both the V1 & V2 Brolly & the V1 Skullcap will also fit both V1 & V2 (as will all the V1 Wraps & Utility Fronts fit both the V1 & V2 - I use a V1 Wrap & V1 Utility Front on my V2 Tempest Brolly). The V2 Skull cap for the Bivvy System will fit the V1 as long as the caps on the end of the front poles have the holes in them (the V2 caps fit). It has been a while though since I had a V1 Bivvy System so cannot remember if they have the holes in the front of them or not but I have seen people using the V1 Tempest Bivvy System with a V2 Skull Cap fitted.
