According to French records (Siret search) the business is registered in her name Sharon Kim Moors, so perhaps we shouldn´t be slagging off Keith!

I see the Moorlands public relations train is on full steam this week. Loads of pictures being put up on Facebook. Looks like it's all a distant memory for Keith. Luckily the angling community have longer memories.

Our expectations are zilch, probably cos we're the one's who exposed him for what he is, the group after us had a similar problem with him and left the lake, he told them no refund, so they put it on social media, they then retracted there statement after he gave them a refund, he can stick his money

To the guys affected by this, exactly what is your current situation regarding any refunds if you can say, i.e. what's your current expectations?

Hindsight is an exact science, and to late to turn back the clock really.

I really hope and prey that future anglers don't fall into the Moorlands trap, with all the publicity it has had about this dreadful situation, hopefully the odds are stacked against

Mr Moors has done enough to damage his reputation all on his own with any luck.

And obviously i feel for the guys who he has ripped off

Sadly as you say you probably didn´t do yourselves any favours as for pursuing possible legal action, but there again didn´t seem like there were any other reasonable options available to you. Hopefully your next trip to France will be better.

The carping world is a small one. Word about good and bad venues spreads very fast!

As for winter I always had two weeks in November and a week in January if not frozen as did a lot of my friends .
But I can see this COVID malarkey getting even worse next year as this isn’t going to go away any time soon .

Post 178
A very sad situation indeed , only been there once myself / not Moorlands / a few years ago and paid for another venue so I wish you all the best .

When he paid us that 700 euros to get shot of us, (should have been 750), that was probably our mistake , we shouldn't have accepted it, as I've said before we were shattered and were offered another lake for around the same money, so legally taking the money messed us up i reckon, the rain will come and moorlands will be full again and he'll get the bookings cos there are some lovely fish in there, but I'd advise people not to entertain the place, he's an arrogant man who hides behind the foul mouthed daughter, he'll probably try to change his ways, but he'll mess up again, hope the fish are OK, but don't wish him any luck whatsoever,

Your posting no. 174, I totally agree with you and would also suggest that there a lot more fisheries that treat their customers with more respect. Phil I can´t agree with your latest posting though, another lockdown is coming maybe sooner than we think, if it happens during the Winter it won´t affect fishing in France as hardly anybody does it, but if it is still in place or introduced in the Spring well another disastrous year for everybody, even pensioners like me. It is very sad that the Moorlands situation has been handled so badly by the owner and the owners subsequent remarks on his facebook page are almost taking the pi$$ out of the people who have been ripped off, glad I wasn´t 1 of them or I would have a lot more to say on the matter. I hope the guys that were affected are taking legal advice about seeking compensation?

For sure 👍🎣🇫🇷

Anyway it won’t matter soon as lockdown 2 is imminent and no one will be going .
