In reply to Post #8 Nice one mate, I’m a bit old school if I’m honest, love my fishmeals, no doubt about it though, they catch fish

In reply to Post #6 Carp company refer to their nut mix as the 1st available, not maple flavoured as standard tho.
I've found it a bit hit and miss tbh, done really well on some waters and been out done by mcnut/nutcracker(early version) on others

In reply to Post #5 ABS, probably
I was thinking more about the “commercially” available nut mix?

In reply to Post #4 I’d say it was around before Dynamite existed as a commercial enterprise.

In reply to Post #2 Cheers for that Darren......
Going to go with TNM from PB as I know it’s highly rated by lots of people and Joss so that will do for me......

In reply to Post #1 Everything is measured against ABS’s maple nut mix as theirs was the first breakthrough bait of the Nut fad.
With his vast bait knowledge and supply contacts, and rolling services, Reputation and supply, Mr Bowers can do both.
Also ABS supply many companies with variations of this recipe. Some companies are using more nutritional milk proteins and yeasts, to make a decent bait with no FLAA’s, but most I suspect are not nutritionally balanced like a good fishmeal.
But many nut baits have caught plenty regardless.
TBH for many people it is Personal preference, and ease of collection of fresh bait or a reliable delivery service is the key point for many customers.

Found a few maple nut baits on the internet but who is the original creator, is it GB? Is his still considered the best and if so why?
