I have enjoyed each series that little bit less, so much so that i have the first 3 of this series on the planner and haven't been bothered about watching them. As someone else said, it's going a bit stale now and some of the "stunts" are getting cringeworthy......I don't mind Ali Hamidi, (although he does appear to get a bit mardy.. ) it's Spooner who annoys me, don't know why, he just does!!

It might be because i have recently subscribed to Cypography and am going through their back issues and thoroughly enjoying most of them.....even the Jim Shelley ones....

The way of the world. Everyone has an opinion and many people get offended if someone's opinion differs from theirs. I am very opinionated, sometimes I feel strongly and voice it, more often than not I just get on with my life and if it is ndot impacting me directly then I try to ignore it. The modern trend of putting opinion's in your face does annoy me an upset me and this is something that is coming more and more into carp fishing, which is sad and I try to stay away from it as much as I can.

Back to Monster Carp, I will get around to watching this week's but I feel it is getting a bit repetitive and stale with the same old jokes being pulled out to try and make it more entertaining. The one I am looking forward to is Wasing as fishing for big UK fish is something new to the series. I preferred the 1st series where they mixed up the anglers a bit and feel that if there is new series that could be a format to revert to

I actually think you are totally wrong there. The elder generation are generally a lot more layer back about stuff, letting people do what they want without letting it bother them too much, unless you are affecting them, I donít think they care.
I think itís more the younger generation that is the problem. Over opinionated, everything being about image. People feel they need to hate everything that isnít trendy, Korda tackle for example. And will like and use stuff that is trendy and pretend it is amazing. If the general consensus was Korda are in, it wouldnít receive the Level of hate it does.

youve only got to look around the world and the way people of certain generations are behaving at the moment. Thereís a band wagon, must jump on it, and have no rational answer as to why Iím doing it

Episode 3 tomorrow at 8pm if you fancy it. Remember, nobody is forcing you to watch it, it's totally voluntary.

The team head to the Netherlands, which is renowned for its extensive waterways, but they will be focusing their attention on a lake called Carplantis which is home to some fantastic-looking, and very large carp. Plus, they also take in a spot of barbel fishing on the River Meuse.

Twaddle!

I may be older than many, and I may decry the attitude of many people within society today, on the banks of the lake, but the attitude of Ali Hamidi is what puts me off.

The original Korda Underwater DVD programmes while not really being my cup of tea, were presented on what Danny Fairbrass felt was happening in the swim. Some of us may or may not agree what was happening; our waters are different, a blooming great camera in the lake may have affected the fish behaviour, but it made people think.

There are many other programmes and DVD's that are positive, where the presenting is good, or where the action is natural, from now and years ago.

In my case, what puts me off every time is Ali Hamidi. I can watch Mortimer and Whitehouse, I'm not a fan of Bob Mortimer, but him and Paul Whitehouse are fishing and reminiscing.

Dean Macey, a decent presenter, sensible, makes the programmes watchable, but again it is Ali Hamidi that kills my enjoyment of The Big Fish Off.
The common denominator in what causes me to turn over is Ali Hamidi.
